Reflecting on Jennifer Lopez’s love life journey, it’s almost like she’s playing a romantic comedy movie, but with a twist – instead of one leading man, she’s had several! After learning that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are divorcing following two years of marriage, it’s clear there’s no question about child custody as they don’t have children together with each other. Moreover, the Beverly Hills mansion they purchased only a year ago, which they jointly own, was already listed for sale.
You might be curious to know what happened to the unique green diamond ring that Affleck chose, this time to propose to Lopez once more, encased in a platinum setting.
In her newsletter named On The JLo, the soon-to-be-bride expressed that she often consider green as her lucky color, following her announcement of re-engagement to the Oscar winner in April 2022. Recalling the iconic green Versace dress she wore at the 2000 Grammys, she mentioned that there have been numerous occasions where incredible events took place when she was donning green.
In a full-circle turn of events, I found myself touched by Affleck’s heartfelt gesture. He made the sentiment even more meaningful by having “Not. Going. Anywhere.” inscribed within the ring itself.

Instead of the planned conclusion, this unique love tale, adorned with moments of affection, didn’t unfold as expected for either Jennifer or Affleck. They exchanged vows in a spontaneous Las Vegas wedding and later repeated the ceremony in a grander affair in Savannah, Georgia, exactly two years prior to her filing to dissolve their marriage.
“We’re just two people with kind of different approaches trying to learn to compromise,” Affleck said in The Greatest Love Story Never Told, a documentary tracing Lopez’s personal and professional journey that came out in February. And while she was more inclined to get loud, he said, “Things that are private, I had always felt, are sacred and special because in part they’re private. So, this was something of an adjustment for me.”
In the end, though, it just didn’t fit.
Previously, Affleck had been wedded to Jennifer Garner for a decade, whereas Lopez had walked down the aisle for the fourth time; however, it was her sixth engagement, including the 6.1-carat pink diamond she received from Affleck back in 2002.

In the year 2001, the versatile individual known as Cris Judd tied the knot, who at one point served as her backup dancer. However, their marriage didn’t last long and they separated just months later. The divorce was made official in January 2003, a time when she was already engaged to Ben Affleck.
Judd popped the question with this emerald-cut diamond ring, estimated to be worth six figures.
2002 marked the commencement of a romantic venture for Lopez and the actor, during which they collaborated in the production of the well-known box-office failure known as “Gigli“, the film “Jersey Girl” and the singer’s music video titled “Jenny From the Block”.
In November, Affleck proposed, and they were planning to get married in Santa Barbara, California on September 14, 2003.
