Selma Blair initially revealed her multiple sclerosis (MS) diagnosis in 2018 and has since kept her followers updated on her health status. Lately, she shared some positive news about her MS – reports indicate that she feels “completely free” from MS relapses now.
Recently, the star was present at The Daily Front Row’s 9th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards. She shared that not only has she been maintaining remission from her disease, but she is also currently in excellent health and expressing this by saying, “I’m feeling really good.”
At the recent 9th Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards hosted by The Daily Front Row, the star was spotted. She shared that not only has she been keeping her disease at bay but also reported feeling great, stating, “I’m doing wonderfully well.
The star proclaimed, “I’ve been doing exceptionally well lately.” She continued, “I’ve felt fantastic for nearly a year now, but it’s only recently that I’m truly, sincerely…I’ve always aimed to feel my best, but with the newfound energy and stamina I have, and the fear of going out diminishing, it’s a whole new experience.” Blair concluded.
Blair on Her Future
After seeing an improvement in her health, Blair is finding herself curious about the possibilities ahead. As she put it, “It’s strange, I haven’t spent much time dreaming lately. Now I find myself wondering, what are my dreams?” The actress from ‘Legally Blonde’ explained further when asked for clarification, “I think perhaps since the diagnosis…You’re always so tired. I spent a large portion of my life exhausted due to being unwell, that I believe I was just trying to make it through each day. And now it’s like, wow, I’m realizing I don’t even know what my aspirations are.
Blair expressed her ambition to focus more on her career in the future, particularly acting, and mentioned having several projects underway. She also continues to champion those with chronic illnesses and is improving herself. Intriguingly, she posed the question: “How can we revitalize ourselves when we haven’t yet achieved our goals?” She further disclosed her intention to write another young adult book. Blair has already written a memoir in 2022 titled “Mean Baby: A Memoir of Growing Up,” and she revealed that her new novel would be a fantasy story with influences from “The Secret Garden.
Legally Blonde Updates
Back in 2001, I shared the silver screen with Reese Witherspoon in the iconic movie “Legally Blonde.” Now, this timeless tale is inspiring a new chapter, as a third film is rumored to be in the works! This upcoming production, titled “Elle,” delves into Elle Woods’ life before her journey to Harvard Law School. Lexi Minetree has been cast as Elle Woods, and the series is being masterfully produced by Amazon. Laura Kittrell serves as the showrunner, with Tom Everett Scott, Chandler Kinney, and June Diane Raphael joining Minetree in bringing this story to life on our screens.
The character of Elle Woods, originally confirmed in 2018, was said to be under development by Mindy Kaling (from “The Office”) and Dan Goor (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine”) for a script. In 2021, Kaling mentioned to an interviewer that she was eager to see the audience’s reaction to their portrayal of Elle Woods at age 40, as they had written her character with a focus on how Elle changes from being 21 to 40, which has been an intriguing aspect to envision.
Currently, there’s no set release date yet, but you can catch it on Amazon Prime Video. On the other hand, “Legally Blonde” is available for streaming on The Roku Channel.
