Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II for PS5 launches August 12 alongside ‘Enhanced’ update

On August 12, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is set to debut on the PlayStation 5, simultaneously releasing an “Enhanced” version for current platforms. This information has been shared by publisher Xbox Game Studios and developer Ninja Theory.

Pre-orders for the game are open now, priced at $49.99 for the standard edition and $69.99 for the Deluxe edition. The Deluxe edition comes with an improved version of “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice” for PlayStation 5, as well as the original soundtrack. If you already own the PlayStation 4 version of “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice”, you’ll receive a complimentary upgrade to the PlayStation 5 edition.

The action-adventure game titled “Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II” initially became available for play on the Xbox Series and computers connected to Steam or Microsoft Store starting from May 21, 2025.

No matter where you decide to play, we’ve fine-tuned the experience to work seamlessly with your chosen hardware.

The Dark Rot Returns

In the game “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice,” the ominous Dark Rot has resurfaced, providing an extra level of difficulty for Senua during her journey to Iceland in an optional game mode. This malevolent force will expand each time you falter, and if it ultimately touches Senua’s head, her quest will be thwarted, and all progress will be forfeited. Enhanced Photo Mode
