Seven years after launch, Fallout 76 is offishally getting its most requested, most critical feature 🎣

The upcoming update for Fallout 76 is just about here, with the developers consistently working on enhancing the game’s tale of redemption.

In the past year, Fallout 76 introduced its inaugural map expansion, introducing fresh bosses, raids, features, weapons, among other elements. Now, players can choose to embody a ghoul character in Fallout 76, offering both experienced and novice gamers an entirely novel playing experience. However, the game felt unfinished up until this point. But that’s all changed now.

It’s no longer a hidden fact that Fallout 76 started off with some bumps in its debut. However, it’s only been quite recently that the game has garnered positive ratings on Steam, thanks to the tireless effort and dedication spanning over seven years from the Bethesda team. Critics were quick to point out the game’s technical glitches, server problems, and overall unrefined feel, but one complaint stood out as the most significant issue for the game – the absence of fishing opportunities.

In fact, the phenomenal Fallout Amazon TV series alone couldn’t elevate Fallout 76 to its full potential. However, everything is different now following the latest PTS update.

After a span of seven years, Bethesda announced that players can now test out the fishing feature on the public test server for Fallout 76.

Greetings! Step into Fisherman’s Rest, an alluring spot within The Mire, where your exciting fishing journey commences. Here you’ll encounter a fresh trio of characters: Captain Raymond Clark, also known as The Fisherman, shrouded in mystery; Linda-Lee, the Fisherman’s intriguing pet hermit crab; and a silent companion, Linda-Lee, who resides surprisingly within Captain Clark’s old fishing vessel. It appears that The Fisherman doesn’t share our language, but don’t fret about communicating with them just yet! However, be prepared for an unusual sight when you learn that Linda-Lee is no ordinary hermit crab, she’s a colossal one living aboard Captain Clark’s boat. This place seems to hide secrets… but let’s dive in anyway!

As part of the “Casting Off” mission, you’ll obtain your initial Fishing Rod, which opens up the opportunity for you to venture towards any nearby water source and begin angling. When contemplating where you might cast your line, keep in mind this simple guideline: “If I can swim there, then I can fish there.

In this game, you can go fishing wherever there’s swim-friendly water. A quest prompt, a ‘mysterious signal’, will guide you to these spots. Once you complete the quest, you’ll receive your very own fishing rod. This isn’t just a simple catch-and-release system; the fishing rod is customizable. The weather conditions in the game can influence the kind of fish you might catch, and if you manage to catch some rare or trophy fish, you can display them as items in your CAMP base.

Moreover, Bethesda has made adjustments to how limbs/immobilization functions within the game, along with readjusting numerous perks. For all the specifics, check out the patch notes here. The PTS server for Fallout 76 on Steam is now accessible. So, let’s go catch some fish! 🐠🐬🎣🦈
