As a longtime fan of Sex and the City and a follower of Hollywood news, I have been eagerly anticipating the upcoming third season of And Just Like That… However, the recent rumors about Kim Cattrall’s possible return as Samantha Jones have left me feeling conflicted.
With the upcoming third season of “And Just Like That…”, the Sex and the City spin-off, there have been whispers that Kim Cattrall might return to portray Samantha Jones once more.
I once appeared in “Sex and the City” again, specifically in the final episode of season 2. In this scene, my character Samantha was on the phone to Carrie, expressing regret over missing a party. However, it’s important to note that I didn’t actually interact with Sarah Jessica Parker during the filming of this sequence. Reports suggest that this decision was made following a public rift between us several years prior.
An insider told Life & Style that it’s believed they have reached a deal with Kim and are only holding off on making an announcement publicly.
The source added: “It’s rumored that she will film all her parts in London. They’re ready to shell out a huge sum of money to keep her, as she’s vital to the series.”
Based on my personal experiences and observations, I believe that sometimes in life, we are faced with situations where we have to accept unpleasant realities, even if they involve strained relationships with others. In this scenario, it seems that everyone, including Sarah, has come to terms with the need for certain actions or circumstances. However, I can relate to Kim’s perspective, having gone through similar experiences myself.
I can’t speak for her, but from what I’ve gathered, it’s uncertain if she’ll shoot any scenes with the other women. However, I do know that she has no interest in sharing meals or pretending things are okay between them off set.
With rumors circulating after the release of this report, a fan expressed on Twitter, now known as X, that it seems likely Cattrall might come back.
Cattrall responded with a casual denial, quelling speculation by stating: “That’s very thoughtful of you, but it’s not true.”

Despite Cattrall’s participation or lack thereof, And Just Like That… season 3 will undergo significant changes in its cast, as Sara Ramirez and Karen Pittman will not be continuing their roles.
