As a devoted admirer, I’ve always appreciated the pulse-pounding action masterpieces that Joe Carnahan has graced us with throughout the years. From the big-screen adaptation of The A-team, to Narc, The Grey, and the high-octane shootout Smokin’ Aces, his work never fails to impress. Initially, there were whispers about him taking on a Hollywood remake of The Raid, a feat that seemed almost impossible to match, let alone surpass. However, now we catch a sneak peek at his latest venture with the unveiling of the ‘Shadow Force‘ trailer.

In SHADOW FORCE, Isaac (played by Omar Sy) and Kyrah (portrayed by Kerry Washington) previously led an international special forces team known as Shadow Force. Their unconventional relationship – falling in love within the ranks – forced them to break the rules. To safeguard their child, they went into hiding. With a substantial reward for their capture, and the relentless Shadow Force pursuing them, their personal struggle escalates into an intense battle for survival.

In this production, the consistently outstanding Mark Strong takes on the role of the antagonist. He appears to be a favored choice by Hollywood for portraying British villains, as he has played similar roles in films like Kick-Ass, Shazam, and several others.

SHADOW FORCE will be released in UK and Irish cinemas on 2nd May 2025
