About

Step into the murky underbelly of a world shrouded in darkness, where criminals, creatures, and conundrums lurk around every corner – that’s the setting for Shadows Over Loathing, the seedy counterpart to the acclaimed game, West of Loathing.

Uncle Murray has asked for your help at his antique store in Ocean City, but upon arriving, he’s nowhere to be found. As you start looking into his disappearance and the peculiar artifacts he’s been gathering, things take a mysterious turn when you accidentally discover some ominous schemes (and a whole lot of wriggling ancient tentacles) that seem poised to cause global destruction.

Delve into an expansive world brimming with peril, missions, riddles, and humorous characters in this standalone comedy adventure/RPG set during the prohibition era within the universe of Loathing. Discover how many adversaries you can squeeze into a telephone booth as the agile Pig Skinner, manipulate the fabric of the cosmos as the clever Cheese Wizard, or follow your own mysterious path as the stylish Jazz Agent.
