As an enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that the publishing rights for Shenmue III have been handed over from Deep Silver to ININ Games, according to a joint announcement by YS NET and ININ Games themselves.
Back in 2019, November 19th to be precise, I was thrilled to finally get my hands on Shenmue III for PlayStation 4 and the Epic Games Store. A year later, on the same date in 2020, I found myself with even more ways to play it as it became available on Steam and GOG too!
According to a statement from ININ Games, their previous partnership on the game “Air Twister” will further strengthen their bond with renowned creator Yu Suzuki and his team. Notably recognized for reviving cherished games and porting them onto various systems, ININ Games is thrilled about guiding the next chapter of “Shenmue III”.
This transfer takes place at an exhilarating juncture, marking not only the 25th anniversary of the legendary Shenmue series but also the 5th anniversary of Shenmue III. Since its inception, Shenmue has spellbound fans globally with its innovative storytelling, captivating open-world gameplay, and enduring status as a trailblazer in gaming history. Shenmue III maintains this legacy, preserving the essence of the saga for a fresh crop of gamers.
