Attention: Today’s EastEnders (aired on 10th April 2025) on BBC One and BBC iPlayer contains plot revelations. Proceed with caution if you prefer not to know the outcome before watching.

In the recent thrilling installment of EastEnders, Ruby Allen, portrayed by Louisa Lytton, bid farewell to Albert Square.

After the suspenseful ending where Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) found out that her daughter Lily (Lillia Turner) burned Martin Fowler’s (James Bye) stand, Ruby became extremely upset.

Stacey and Ruby were shocked upon discovering that Lily requested her friend, Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James), to falsely claim they had witnessed Ruby striking a match.

Ruby suggested that Stacey should inform on Lily, however, Stacey informed Ruby that she would stand by Lily’s side instead.

After Stacey told Lily to make sure Avani stayed consistent with her account, Avani reminded Lily about the anger she held towards Stacey for departing not long ago.

In the meantime, Ruby informed Zack Hudson (James Farrar) that she was leaving permanently, and they shared a tense instant before saying their goodbyes.

Later, Ruby chose to return her stall to Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), and Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) encouraged Stacey to reconcile with Ruby following a difficult conversation between them, suggesting they should patch things up.

Stacey felt disappointed when Zack told her that Ruby had left earlier, but not long after, she spotted Ruby with her son Roman at Martin’s grave.

Stacey expressed her apologies to Ruby, who reciprocated with understanding. As they reminisced about their shared affection for Martin, Ruby presented Stacey with a golden memento to honor his life.

After exchanging a heartfelt farewell, Ruby and Roman departed, leaving Stacey with a brief sensation of tranquility as she made her way back home to Lily.

However, Lily simmered with anger as Stacey allowed Ruby to depart, despite the fact that Ruby was safeguarding a secret.

Regardless of Stacey’s attempts to shield her, Lily lashed out with another wave of cruel words directed at her mother, harboring resentment over what she perceived as being deprived of a traditional family life.

Stacey did her best to safeguard herself, but Lily, feeling cheated of a conventional family life, retaliated with a barrage of harsh criticisms towards her mom.

OR:

In spite of Stacey’s attempts to defend herself, Lily, bitter about not having a ‘normal’ family, hurled another round of biting remarks at her mother.

Later on, Lily regretted that it was Stacey who perished rather than Martin, causing one to ponder whether their mother-daughter bond may be irrevocably broken for good.
