Shock Twist in Gladiators Final: Injured Contestant Replaced by Runner-Up!

After a ten-week stretch filled with tough battles, fierce competition, and numerous eliminations, the Gladiators finale is quickly approaching.

In seven days from now, the remaining four competitors will step into the arena to determine who possesses the skills necessary to outperform the extraordinary Gladiators and emerge as the victorious champion of 2025.

Regrettably, due to an injury during the semifinals, one finalist had to withdraw from the competition, which allowed the quickest runner-up from the semifinals to take her place as a contender for the title.

In the semi-finals, Zavia Hill was set to face off against Amanda Wah, another finalist. However, while playing Powerball, Zavia sustained an injury. Remarkably, she continued participating in the subsequent events. She even advanced to the Eliminator and qualified for the final. Regrettably, her injury prevented her from competing in the end.

Instead, it’s Aneila Afsar who steps up to the spotlight. Known for her blazing speed against Cyclone in Unleash, Aneila has set the female record by completing the event in just 23.6 seconds.

Speaking of taking part in the final, Aneila admitted she felt “a lot of mixed emotions”.

Aneila shared with the BBC that, as someone who’s been keeping up with the show, it was a dream of hers to reach the final, but she didn’t expect to arrive there in this particular manner.

“At the same time, I’m beyond grateful for the opportunity and so excited for what’s ahead.”

Anaiela and Amanda are set to team up with Joe Fishburn and Mus Dumbuya, aiming to seize the title of Gladiator Champion 2025 together!
