Remains enveloped in intrigue as production on the superhero collaboration film, “Doomsday”, progresses steadily. A fresh snapshot from the set of the movie has recently given fans a hint about a specific character’s destiny.
Newton Thomas Sigel, the cameraman behind films such as “Citadel”, “Candy Cane Lane”, and the forthcoming “Doomsday”, recently posted a set snapshot on his account with the label, “Bahrain Crane Porn.” Although everyone in the image is shrouded by shadow, making identification tricky, there’s a strong suspicion among Marvel enthusiasts that Winston Duke, who plays M’Baku, is hidden in the bottom left corner of the frame, holding his staff. Take a peek at the “Doomsday” set photo below.
There’s also talk among fans that Bahrain might serve as the setting for “The Void,” a metaphysical scrapyard at the End of Time, which is used by the Time Variance Authority. Previously shown in the Disney+ series “Loki” and the 2024 superhero movie “Deadpool & Wolverine,” The Void played a significant role in these productions. If this speculation proves true, it would imply that M’Baku will be venturing to The Void in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe crossover film.
Multiple Black Panther Characters Returning for Doomsday
Among the confirmed characters for “Avengers: Doomsday” is M’Baku, who previously appeared in the Black Panther series. Letitia Wright will also reprise her role as Shuri, making a second appearance as the new Black Panther in this film. Additionally, there are strong rumors that Mabel Cadena and Alex Livinalli might return as Namora and Attuma respectively, since they were seen with the “Doomsday” cast, although Marvel Studios has yet to officially confirm this.
The filming of “Doomsday” commenced towards the end of April and is anticipated to go on for approximately six months. This implies a significant portion of the year 2025 will be dedicated to this Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster. While specifics about the plot are still largely confidential, fans have some insights: Robert Downey Jr.’s character Doctor Doom serves as the primary villain, and the X-Men, along with the Avengers, New Avengers (previously known as the Thunderbolts), and the Fantastic Four, will make appearances.
But it’s the imminent entry of the X-Men into the MCU that has fans buzzing, as they are confirmed to feature in the upcoming Avengers film: Kelsey Grammer taking on the role of Beast, Patrick Stewart reprising Professor X, Ian McKellen returning as Magneto, Alan Cumming stepping into the character Nightcrawler, Rebecca Romijn reviving Mystique, and James Marsden making a comeback as Cyclops.
In this version, I’ve tried to maintain the original structure while using simpler and more conversational language.
Channing Tatum is set to return as the charismatic Gambit in the 2024 film, “Deadpool & Wolverine”. Although fans are eager for Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine to reunite with his old X-Men castmates, he has been somewhat tight-lipped about it, telling the hosts of “The View” during a recent interview on their morning show, “I’m afraid I can’t share much at this time.
Avengers: Doomsday was originally scheduled to hit theaters on May 1, 2026, but was .
