The classic manga “Hell Teacher Nube,” adored by fans of Weekly Shonen Jump since its debut in 1993, is set to return as an anime after nearly three decades. Known for its unique blend of supernatural horror and humor, the series has left a lasting impression on many readers due to its poignant moments. A sequel, “Hell Teacher Nube Neo,” was released in 2004, followed by another installment titled “Hell Teacher Nube S” in 2018. Despite the original anime adapting only 46 episodes, the manga boasts a total of 279 chapters. The reboot has been confirmed by Studio Kai in July 2024.
While the announcement confirmed it will be released in Summer 2025, it hasn’t had a release window till now. The official Twitter account of Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube announced it will be released in July 2025. It also shares that the broadcast will begin on TV Asahi’s nationwide “IMAnimation W” slot. Episodes will be broadcast every Wednesday at 11:45 JST. The episodes will likely be globally available an hour or two later. However, there’s currently no confirmation on the streaming platform.

What Is the Plot of Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube?
Hell Teacher Nube is about Kyousuke Nube, an unusual teacher at Doumoro Elementary School, who seems ordinary but has a hidden supernatural ability in his hand that holds immense powers. After a supernatural curse, this hand can expel, command, and even communicate with spirits. He employs this hand in fights against supernatural entities such as vindictive spirits and demons. These malevolent creatures frequently endanger the students’ safety, and it falls to Nube to safeguard them.
Although he has to protect the students, he teaches them valuable life lessons, encouraging them to face their fears and inner demons. The series is largely episodic, with each chapter or arc focusing on different threats that Nube protects his students from. The series is a perfect blend of supernatural action, quirky characters, emotional moments, and intriguing references to Japanese folklore.
