In your journey through the intricate conflicts between the capital, Kamelot, and the other provinces within the game Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon, you’ll observe that the matters aren’t always black and white. Every dispute has multiple perspectives, sometimes more than two, and these complexities are portrayed in various shades of gray. Choosing the right path can be challenging, but we’re here to assist you.
A challenging decision arises during the Menhir Rites: Reviving the Menhir in Cuanacht brings hope to the people, yet exposes them to vulnerability beyond Kamelot’s protection. We’re here to guide you on your course of action once you unearth the tablets!
Where To Find The Menhir Tablets
After conversing with Maggot during the “Have A Nice Trip” quest, you will discover information about the Menhir Rites tablets. Interestingly, these tablets were once a single piece but have been divided into two halves; one half is now in possession of the druids, while the other half resides within the kingdom of Sagremor.
To carry out the ritual that will rekindle the Menhir, you’ll have to retrieve both tablets, but they are hidden in extensive and complex dungeons.
We’ve provided connections to comprehensive guides, allowing you to delve deeper into the methods of acquiring those ancient tablets!
-
The Abyss Of Sagremor Menhir Tablet
To the north of Cuanacht lies the entrance to the Abyss of Sagremor, nestled at the depths of a pond. This labyrinthine underground complex extends from a treacherous valley into a crumbling castle, where its denizens are doomed to live and die repeatedly.
Some of them don’t mind, but others have gone mad over time.
During your stay, it’s essential that you finish the “Throne of the Depths” quest. This will enable you to obtain the Cracked Menhir Tablet directly from King Sagremor once he has granted you an audience with his queen after doing so.
-
The Corrupted Temple Menhir Tablet
To the far west of Cuanacht lies a hidden temple, submerged within the marshland. This is the ominous Corrupted Temple, where its entrance can be discovered. Within its walls, the once sacred priestesses have fallen to corruption and will aggressively confront anyone who approaches.
You have no choice but to slay them and the undead within.
To access the corrupted temple, you first have to finish the Deiform quest. Once that’s done, you can release the goddess trapped inside, which will grant you the tablet as a reward.
Should You Give The Menhir Rites Tablets To Maggot Or Denholm?

After obtaining both Menhir Rites Tablets, a decision lies before you. You could either hand them over to Maggot, thus fulfilling the ritual to preserve Cuanacht’s Menhir, or you can opt to pass the tablets on to Denholm instead. The end result remains largely similar despite your choice, but each path carries its own set of consequences.
Before you can make the choice, you’ll need to obtain the tablets first.
-
Give The Tablets To Maggot
Handing the tablets to “Maggot” is a wiser choice because it rekindles the Menhir in Cuanacht, offering the people renewed hope that Kamelot won’t seize it. Meet up with Maggot near the Menhir at dusk to observe him perform the ritual.
As it’s completed, you’ll pass out again.
Upon waking, you find yourself observing a heated dispute between self-assured Yvain and unhappy Denholm. Meanwhile, your actions have granted the locals some additional time in their native land as Cuanacht remains secure for now.
As a devoted supporter, I can’t help but emphasize that by parting ways with Cuanacht for financial gains offered by Denholm, you might be missing out on something significant. However, considering the importance of safeguarding our beloved city, I believe it’s a worthwhile sacrifice to make.

Give The Tablets To Denholm
If you hand over the tablets to Denholm, it appears as if you’re condemning Cuanacht’s Menhir to destruction – or so the locals will be led to believe. However, Denholm claims that the tablets will be utilized to save all the Menhir in Kamelot and throughout Avalon, but he doesn’t provide much evidence to support this assertion.
Regardless, the folks of Cuanacht intend to remain in their native land for as long as possible, although their optimism might be diminished further than it was previously.
As a gamer, I get where you’re coming along with siding with Kamelot, but it just doesn’t resonate well with me. It seems like it might keep things simple, but it feels more like it’s stripping away the richness of culture and heritage. If you opt for Kamelot, be aware that you’ll likely save some time, but at the cost of exploring diverse lands and meeting a variety of people.
Irrespective of your decision, Yvain chooses to set out on a journey seeking the Holy Grail. This is done with the intention of providing extra time for the folks of Cuanacht in their native land. Once this quest is over, a new assignment follows.
