As someone who has navigated through countless zones and faced countless dangers in my years as a Stalker, I can confidently say that Squint is one of those characters who leaves an indelible mark on your journey.

In the game titled “STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl“, you’ll encounter a variety of characters within the Zone, some of whom may offer additional tasks for you to accomplish. This guide focuses on one such character named “Squint“. Throughout the main storyline, you will cross paths with Squint. The question arises: Should you engage in combat with him?

Should You Kill Squint?

In the initial stages of the game, you encounter a character named Squint for the first time in the mission titled “A Needle in a Haystack.” This early introduction could serve as a subtle clue suggesting it might be premature to consider eliminating him right away.

As a devoted follower, I’ve discovered that there are several chances to confront Squint, but if you manage to assist him in obtaining the Mold artifact initially, an intriguing scenario unfolds where you can choose to eliminate him instead of fulfilling his demands. This strategic move allows you to retain the artifact and any other treasures he may be carrying.

Regardless of your decision, you’ll end up getting the Ward Sensors. Essentially, it comes down to whether you believe there’s a chance you might encounter him in the future.

To put it simply, I’d suggest sparing him with the hope that he might gain significance again in the future. As of now, there doesn’t appear to be any immediate repercussions for taking his life, but that could change.
