As a seasoned gamer with decades of martial arts-themed titles under my belt, I can’t help but feel a thrill of anticipation when it comes to Sifu and its potential announcements at The Game Awards. Having played the original back in February 2022 on my trusty PlayStation 5, I must admit that the game’s updates have only served to deepen my appreciation for its unique blend of action and martial arts homage.
It seems that the developers at Sifu, specifically SloClap, are hinting towards a possible announcement during tonight’s The Game Awards.
On the infamous platform often referred to as X, or more commonly known as Twitter, the studio playfully posted: “We’ll meet again at the Game Awards. Prepare for the unexpected!
In February 2022, Sifu debuted on PS5 and PS4, and since then, developer SloClap has continued to enhance this exceptional action game. Over the past couple of years, it’s received numerous significant updates, elevating an already outstanding homage to martial arts into something truly unique.
As a fellow gamer, I can’t help but feel the anticipation building: is this Sifu 2? Frankly, I wouldn’t want to stir up any expectations unnecessarily. It has been nearly three years since the original game was released, and that title has become quite a hit for its developer, garnering significant commercial success. So, while we can’t say for certain, it’s definitely an exciting time!
It seems that Sifu has an upcoming Secret Level episode, but considering a new glance might not be much of a surprise anymore, given that a trailer for this very episode was released a few short days ago.
