In a unexpected turn of events, SloClap, the masterminds behind Sifu, unveiled a sequel, Rematch, and the latest preview leaves us intrigued. The video even discloses its scheduled launch date.
The online football game is coming to PS5 on 19th June, 2025.
Instead of team sports simulations like EA Sports FC where multiple players control different characters, Rematch focuses on a solo player’s experience on the field, collaborating with teammates to strategize and outsmart opponents. Watch the video above to witness it in action.
It seems this project requires quite a bit of skill, considering the developer’s background. It has a playful, arcade-like feel, similar to Rocket League, and there’s plenty of intricate maneuvers you can pull off in it.
