As a seasoned Silent Hill veteran with more ghostly encounters than I care to remember, I can’t help but feel a mix of relief and trepidation upon hearing about the latest hotfix for Silent Hill 2 on PC and PS5. The Labyrinth has always been my personal hell within this game, so the thought of being trapped in it again was not exactly appealing. But thankfully, Konami seems to have heard our cries for help and addressed the progression blocker that had arisen post-patch 1.04.

View Urgent ForecastKonami has released an update for the recently launched remake of Silent Hill 2 on PC and PS5, known as a hotfix. This new update, which follows patch 1.04 that resolved multiple crashes and included AMD FSR 3.1.1 support, has unfortunately introduced a new issue where players can become stuck in the Labyrinth. This problem seems to occur when saving data is placed in locations after the application of patch 1.04.
Thankfully, the fix resolves this issue by implementing a “safety measure which compels the correct activation of essential prompts, guaranteeing a seamless advancement from hereon.” Now, you can confine your chaos of getting lost within the maze exclusively to the digital world of the Labyrinth.
A notable enhancement is incorporating Steam Cloud compatibility for Steam gamers. This means your game data will be synchronized with the latest cloud saves. However, keep in mind that if you have older local data, it may get replaced by the most current cloud save without any prior notice. To prevent this, Konami recommends backing up your previous data.
Great news! The latest fix (version 1.05) for the game Silent Hill 2 has been released! This update resolves a significant problem encountered in the Labyrinth level, following the previous patches 1.04 for both PC and PlayStation 5 users. Additionally, it adds Steam Cloud save functionality to enhance your gaming experience on PC via Steam. For more details, be sure to check out the patch notes!
