Silent Hill 2 Remake Lets You Turn Off UI Elements, Enable a “90s Filter” for Total Immersion

As a long-time fan of Silent Hill, I can hardly contain my excitement for the remake of Silent Hill 2! With its atmospheric horror and deep narrative, it’s always been one of those games that leaves an indelible mark on your psyche. The fact that Bloober Team is giving us the option to turn off all UI elements and apply a “90s filter” for an even more immersive experience? Absolutely brilliant!

In the remake of Silent Hill 2, the dedicated team at Bloober Team has devoted much effort into crafting a chilling atmosphere that retains the original’s unsettling vibe while introducing new features. For those who wish to immerse themselves completely in a mysterious town filled with remnants of their past and confrontations with their sins, there is an option to include all UI elements

Additionally, the developer has verified a “retro 90s style,” adjusting the color saturation, texture, and display appearance to mimic authenticity. Blending these elements together promises an intensely engaging horror adventure, though it may require some extra effort

On October 8th, Silent Hill 2 will be available on PS5 and PC. Those who own the Digital Deluxe Edition can start playing on October 6th. For a deeper look at gameplay, click here. The game now includes repositioned enemy encounters, additional areas to explore, and fresh tracks by renowned composer Akira Yamaoka. Some of the classic tracks have also been reworked.
