The remarkable 2024 remake of Silent Hill 2 initially promised early support for the PS5 Pro at its launch, although it didn’t live up to expectations entirely. While the survival horror remake did benefit from enhancements on Sony’s advanced console, the PS5 Pro update unfortunately introduced a number of technical problems. Subsequent patches were issued to resolve some of these issues, but many continued to linger, with Konami and developer Bloober Team assuring additional updates and fixes in the future.
Since then, there haven’t been any new updates, leading some to speculate if the fixes are still forthcoming. In a conversation with Eurogamer, Bloober Team has verified that they are indeed working on them. The team stated they are collaborating with Konami to find a “solution” and will provide further details… eventually.
The developer mentioned that they are collaborating with the publisher to find a resolution regarding the PS5 Pro update for Silent Hill 2, and they will disclose further information as soon as it becomes available.
