Finally, after a long wait, I’m thrilled to share that Konami has unveiled a fresh glimpse of “Silent Hill f“, the upcoming main installment in the iconic survival-horror series. Way back in 2022, Konami announced “Silent Hill f” along with some preliminary details about the project. However, since then, updates on the game have been scarce as Konami primarily concentrated on promoting their remake of “Silent Hill 2”. Now that the remake has been released in late 2024, it’s time for “Silent Hill f” to take center stage once more.
At the recent “Silent Hill Transmission” reveal, we were treated to the first story trailer for what’s now called “Silent Hill f.” Instead of revisiting the town of Silent Hill, this game focuses on a young girl named Shimizu Hinako in the quaint Japanese town of Ebisugaoka. Just like its predecessors, the peaceful town of Ebisugaoka is soon enveloped by an eerie fog that triggers terrifying occurrences within it. Excitingly, Konami announced at the event that “Silent Hill f” is being penned by Ryukishi07 and will include music from Akira Yamaoka, the legendary composer who has scored previous Silent Hill games.

Currently, Konami hasn’t announced a specific launch date yet for the upcoming Silent Hill game, however, it is confirmed to be under development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Since a rating for this game was given earlier this year, there might be a possibility that it could still be released in 2025.
