Simon Bird’s Everyone Else Burns confirms season 2 air date in trailer with Fleabag star

As a cinephile with a penchant for British comedy and a soft spot for character-driven stories, I must say that the return of Everyone Else Burns is like a warm, comforting hug on a chilly autumn night. With Fleabag’s Sian Clifford joining the cast, I can’t help but anticipate the hilarious and poignant interactions that await us.

The hit show “Everyone Else Burns” is making its comeback on Channel 4 for a second season, and judging from the trailer, it promises to be another rollercoaster of laughter!

On Thursday, 17th October, right at 10pm, I can’t wait to tune in and spot Sian Clifford, who played a memorable character on Fleabag, joining the cast for season 2!

Clifford arrives as the formidable Maude, a fresh addition who challenges Fiona’s perspective of normal life and potentially leads David into questionable paths.

The Lewis family, who are known for their pious nature, make a return. This time featuring Simon Bird (from Friday Night Dinner), Kate O’Flynn (Landscapers), Amy James-Kelly (Military Wives), and Harry Connor (Robin and the Hoods).

In the preview, David (referred to as Bird) and Rachel (known as Amy) debate the topic of arranged marriages. Despite Rachel’s strong opposition towards it, David remains unconvinced about its potential issues.

“Well think of the peer pressure,” he says. “If you don’t do it, you’ll look weird.”

Additionally, tension looms as David samples Maude’s pie, while Kate vows to avoid being tricked or embarrassed!

There are plenty of exciting offerings on the menu, ranging from break-ins training, driving lessons, and seemingly some self-defense workshops!

Joining the cast again for season 2 are Morgana Robinson (from The Windsors), Ali Khan (known for A Haunting in Venice), Arsher Ali (Funny Woman), Al Roberts (Stath Lets Flats), Kadiff Kirwan (Slow Horses), Soph Galustian (Rye Lane), and Liam Williams (Ladhood).

Season 2 will see the Lewis family’s commitment to The Order challenged more than ever before.

The storyline highlights the central focus on relationships, as Rachel’s desire for self-reliance faces challenges from an arranged marriage, and tensions grow between David and Fiona.

In the meantime, Aaron is planning to bring The Order into modern times with the assistance, and despite the challenges, from his father.

Everyone Else Burns season 2 begins on Thursday 17th October at 10pm on Channel 4.
