Sharing the limelight with none other than the mayor of Los Angeles, this iconic figure played a unique role in warmly welcoming the 2028 Olympics to our beloved city, Los Angeles.
At the Closing Ceremony, the star of Mission: Impossible showcased his top-notch stunt skills by leaping into the Stade de France from an open roof.
However, delivering the Olympic flag to Los Angeles wasn’t his only daring act; he also leaped into the stadium unassisted by anyone other than Simone and Karen.
Stepping onto the vibrant sands of Venice Beach, I was privileged to witness the electrifying opening act of a renowned band, as the spirit of the Olympics swept across the United States.
In 2028, during the Venice Beach concert marking the arrival of the Olympics in Los Angeles, they – the close-knit duo who have worked together for a long time – sang their popular number “Birds of a Feather”.
The 2024 Olympics Special Correspondent took on a second role during—rounding out the LA28 handoff.
At the closing event, the renowned French musician played the iconic Frank Sinatra song “My Way,” marking the formal conclusion of the ceremony.
