Although official updates regarding 2025 releases are yet to be announced, a leak has unveiled some of the first upcoming features destined for The Sims 4.

2025 is set to introduce our initial new content, which appears to be a lineup of fresh Kits. For The Sims 4, there’s an array of Downloadable Content (DLC), and the amount and style of content can differ significantly. Each piece has its distinct title, making it challenging to remember them all. Kits are smaller in scale, providing compact collections of decorative items and Create-a-Sim styles. They typically don’t alter gameplay mechanics extensively but rather enhance the visual atmosphere – ideal for enthusiasts who enjoy spending extended hours on home decoration or fine-tuning their Sim’s appearance.

A recent leak indicates that The Sims 4 will be receiving not just one, but three new expansion packs in January 2025, according to a post from @TheSimCommunity. These three new kits are scheduled for release on January 16th. Although this might seem soon, it’s not entirely unexpected given that EA often prefers grand announcements for larger Expansion Pack-sized additions. However, it is typical for Kits to be released with less lead time compared to Expansion Packs.

New Sims 4 Kits Focus on Comfy Cozy Vibes

In the near future, the rollout will feature three distinct styles, marking it as the largest simultaneous launch of Kits in The Sims series’ timeline. Typically, Kits have been introduced singly or in pairs; however, this time, Electronic Arts is aiming for a set of three – a trio. The latest reports suggest that these new Kits will be named Comfy Gamer, Secret Sanctuary, and Casanova Cave.
