Taime Downe is getting candid on his grief.
For the initial time since his girlfriend, Kimberly Burch, went missing from a cruise ship in March and was later presumed deceased due to an alleged fall, the singer of Faster Pussycat has publicly addressed the matter. Burch was 56 years old.
On May 30, Downe expressed during an interview on SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk that things were like a roller coaster for him. He added that he was managing and simply dealing with each day as it comes.
The 60-year-old shared that he has chosen to start a journey, expressing that the music would be extremely beneficial for his wellbeing.
Downe expressed that everyone believed traveling on tour, performing with his band, and spending time with family would be beneficial for him. He added that he would have the opportunity to meet many fans and friends nationwide, which he believes will be positive.
He added that his “fingers are crossed” the experience helps him heal.
Speaking from personal experience, I’m off to pursue my passions surrounded by cherished companions. I firmly believe that such an activity can only bring a sense of healing and fulfillment – if you catch my drift.
However, Downe openly expresses his feelings through music, but he prefers to keep confidential the specifics surrounding Burch’s demise.
He mentioned that he’d rather not discuss the topic with people he doesn’t know, as it feels inappropriate to him. In other words, “it is what it is.
In March, Carnell shared with TMZ that her daughter Burch was presumed missing after setting sail on a seven-day Royal Caribbean trip from Miami on the 2nd. She explained that Downe had contacted her to report that Burch had fallen overboard during the retro-themed voyage from the 80s.
A representative from Royal Caribbean Group stated to TMZ previously, “As soon as we learned about the incident, our team initiated a search and rescue operation in collaboration with local authorities. We are also offering aid and comfort to the family of the affected passenger during this distressing period. Due to the privacy of the family’s situation, we cannot disclose any further details at this time.
In his new interview, Downe alleged that Burch’s death was also “alcohol and prescription related.”
