The movie titled Sinners, directed by Ryan Coogler and featuring Michael B. Jordan as twins Smoke and Stack, has shattered numerous box office records. In this horror film, the twins return to their Mississippi hometown in 1932 to confront a powerful evil. The success of Sinners is unprecedented, with its Easter weekend debut setting a record for R-rated movies. With worldwide earnings surpassing $300 million and ranking among the top 10 highest-grossing horror films, it will be available for purchase on video on demand platforms starting June 3.
According to Variety, by Friday, the film “Sinners” surpassed the $250 million mark at the domestic box office. This makes it the second movie this year (2025) to reach this milestone, following “A Minecraft Movie,” which has currently earned an impressive $418.6 million in North America.
