As a cinephile, I’m thrilled to share that the trailer for Sinners, directed by the talented Ryan Coogler of “Black Panther” and “Creed,” has dropped in my mailbox! This intriguing production features Michael B. Jordan, Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, and Delroy Lindo. Can’t wait to see what this ensemble brings to the big screen!
In an attempt to escape their turbulent pasts, identical siblings (Jordan) decide to go back to their small town for a fresh start. However, they soon realize upon their return that a far more sinister force is lurking, eagerly anticipating their homecoming.
Under the direction of Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Ryan Coogler, the movie titled “Sinners” features Jordan Peele, who is known for his roles in “Black Panther” and “Creed,” taking on a double role. The cast also includes Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld (“Bumblebee,” “True Grit”), Jack O’Connell (“Ferrari”), Wunmi Mosaku (“Passenger”), Jayme Lawson (“The Woman King”), Omar Benson Miller (“True Lies”), and Delroy Lindo (“Da 5 Bloods”). Coogler himself, along with his frequent collaborators Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler, produce the film. Ludwig Göransson, Will Greenfield, and Rebecca Cho serve as executive producers.
Ryan Coogler’s team behind the camera for his projects consists of collaborators from the “Black Panther” series: cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw, production designer Hannah Beachler who won an Oscar, editor Michael P. Shawver, composer Ludwig Göransson who also won an Oscar, and costume designer Ruth E. Carter who has also received an Oscar.
Sinners will be released in the UK on March 7th 2025 by Warner Bros. Pictures
