Elton John and David Furnish have picked their sides in the escalating Beckham family feud.
Even after a friendship spanning more than three decades with David and Victoria Beckham, Sir Elton John surprisingly expressed strong backing for his godson Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz.
On Monday, Brooklyn posted a heartfelt tribute to his American actress spouse, celebrating five years since their engagement, which he called “the best decision I’ve made.
Although his parents haven’t liked any social media posts about it, his godfather Elton was among the top commenters, tagging both individuals and writing “Happy Anniversary to the sweetest and most loving pair!
Previously, David, his spouse, had sweetly included a personal note, saying ‘Celebrating another beautiful anniversary to this stunning pair of lovebirds.’
It’s quite likely that Sir Elton John and his husband’s open display of support might stir up some tension within the Beckham household, given their extended history of friendship with Brooklyn’s parents.
In their football-filled friendship, David fondly refers to the musician as ‘Uncle Elton’.
In 1999, Sir Elton John was initially scheduled to perform at the Beckhams’ wedding, but unfortunately, he had a heart attack which forced him to cancel his appearance. However, he did sing at one of their children’s christening ceremonies later on.

On Father’s Day, Victoria paid a heartfelt tribute to her husband David, yet the sentiments extended to their firstborn, Brooklyn, as well. She made sure to reach out to him affectionately.
