As a seasoned observer of human dynamics, I find myself deeply moved by the stories unfolding within the Brown family. Each member seems to be grappling with their own unique struggles and seeking solace in different ways.
Approximately a year and a half since their charming wedding in Utah, Christine Brown and David Woolley are now embarking on their long-awaited honeymoon.
The stars of “Sister Wives” journeyed to several European locales, such as Barcelona, Spain, and Florence, Italy, during a trip with Virgin Voyages Cruises, and the adventure definitely met expectations.
On November 4th, Christine posted on Instagram that they’ve finally embarked on their honeymoon! She shared videos of their travels, including a visit to the renowned Sagrada Familia. After waiting a year, they chose to go when it suited them best. They absolutely adore Barcelona – the architecture, cuisine, and locals!
Similarly, the pair were taken with their Italian destination.
Florence left me speechless, it’s filled with amazing works of art!”, Christine posted on her Instagram video from November 11th, titled “Dream come true: Florence”. She tagged it with “#dreamcometrue”, “#florence”, “#duomo”, “#virginvoyages”, “#honeymoon”, and “#needtogoback”.
During their vacation, the pair explored the Florence Duomo, the ancient Ponte Vecchio bridge, Michelangelo’s statue of David, and several other attractions.
Before embarking on their journey, Christine and her sister wife, Janelle Brown, chatted about the process of organizing their vacation.
Christine revealed to TopMob News in October that they’re finally embarking on their honeymoon starting November 1st. Upon learning about our plans, Janelle expressed excitement, saying ‘That’s a cruise I’ve always wanted to take.’ To which Christine replied, ‘I’m not sure you’d enjoy this particular voyage.’
Janelle quickly explained, “No, no, I wasn’t suggesting that.”
However, these two ladies, having parted ways with former partner Kody Brown approximately a year apart, have enjoyed multiple vacations together since their respective splits.
Christine reassured Janelle, “We’ll join you on different cruises, but not this particular one. We’re planning to go on the others instead.
As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to express that, having shared six children with a past polygamist, these two remarkable women are eagerly embarking on a new chapter of independence and growth, leaving their ex behind.
Christine expressed that it feels refreshing to begin anew in a fresh phase of her life with David, and they are indeed embarking on a new chapter together,” Christine shared with TopMob News. “In essence, we’re both starting afresh.
Following the separation from Christine and later Meri, Kody is currently in a single relationship with Robyn. Meanwhile, as the family’s drama unfolds on TLC, both Christine and Janelle are thriving in this fresh chapter of their lives.
Christine expressed that she’s truly enjoying life at its fullest,” she put it. “That’s about as accurate a description as I can give.

Kody Brown expressed his intent to separate from his first wife, Meri Brown, not long after they exchanged vows in 1990. However, as he put it, “Meri, when we move to Flagstaff, this will be an opportunity for us to start anew.” This is what he had led her to believe, according to her statement during the Sept. 15 premiere, hinting at their 2018 relocation. “He has often given me false hopes by saying things like these. This is a pattern that has been going on for years,” Meri added.
As a devoted admirer, I must say, the crux of my frustration lies in his scarcity of conversation, his evasiveness about his true feelings, desires, and dislikes, and the tale he’s spun for so long.
Initially, Kody conceded that his actions might have sent “mixed signals,” but as he delved into the tasks at hand, he found himself questioning, “What’s the point of this?” He elaborated, expressing that he would no longer pursue a relationship with her in the present.
Either way, Meri’s friends were thrilled when she finally pulled the plug in early 2023.
She admitted, “They essentially said, ‘We’re here for you, we’ve got your back. And it’s high time,'” she confessed. Now with her blinders removed, she felt that for years he had been trying to persuade her to leave by claiming he didn’t love her. “Because if I depart on my own accord, then he isn’t the villain because he didn’t walk away,” she realized.
After several years had passed since the family acquired a 14-acre plot of land they intended to construct on in Flagstaff, Ariz., Kody admitted during the season opener that he was ready to let the project fade away. Since they hadn’t paid off the full $820,000 cost (which reports suggest was settled in 2023), he told Robyn Brown, “I’d almost prefer to abandon it or sell it and then simply start anew somewhere else.
As for Robyn, “I can’t talk about that,” she responded. “That is so not where I’m at.”
Initially, Janelle Brown shared with TopMob News that the relationship was gradually fading, but it was primarily Kody’s shortcomings as a parent towards certain children that led her to ultimately decide to part ways.
“The real turning point for me was when his relationship with my kids deteriorated to the point where it seemed like he wasn’t making any effort to mend it. That moment made me realize, ‘Ah, that’s what had been keeping me here all along.’
In the November 3rd episode, it was unwaveringly off the table for Janelle when Kody proposed reconciliation.
She stated, “It’s unclear to me how I could ever make peace with him without him being excluded from our children’s lives, and that’s the path I will consistently take: prioritizing my kids.
In my fervent admiration, I’d like to share how Kody articulated his perspective on why he hasn’t been exerting more effort to bridge the gaps with some of his grown-up kids who we have a complicated relationship with.
In the episode on September 15, he expressed his feelings of not belonging within the family anymore. Despite being fully married to Robyn and jointly parenting their five children – Dayton Brown, Aurora Brown, Breanna Brown, Solomon Brown, and Ariella Brown – he mentioned that he also had occasional relationships with some other children but they were infrequent. Feeling overwhelmed, he asked, “What do I do with all of this? It doesn’t feel like a family.
Even though they’ve been genuinely monogamous in their 14-year relationship for the first time, Robyn admitted during the season 19 premiere that their marriage is struggling more than ever. “It’s been a tough time between us,” she said. “Kody doesn’t know if he should blame himself or one of the other wives. He feels quite rejected and I think he’s worried that I might reject him too.
Consequently, she disclosed, “I’m constantly vigilant. I need to ensure he isn’t undermining our relationship.” In her own words, the most challenging aspect is: “There’s little support available for the fact that I’m still wedded to a man who seems to be going through multiple divorces.
Meanwhile, Kody was grappling with a wave of self-doubt, expressing, “I find it hard to tell myself, ‘Hey there, it’s okay to love yourself.’
For Robyn, it felt challenging as she observed her ex-sister wives transitioning into their latest phase of life. As she put it during the October 27 broadcast, “They’re all progressing, while I seem to be the one who’s been left trailing behind.
Add Madison, the eldest child of Janelle, to the list of kids who aren’t currently in contact with Kody. According to Janelle, during the premiere, there has been no communication between Maddie and her father. Neither have contacted each other, and they don’t have a relationship at present. She seems to have cut ties with both Kody and Robin, considering them out of her life for now.
Janelle pointed out that Kody seems to be only partially engaged in his relationship with Maddie’s children, Axel, Evangalynn, and Josephine. She stated that she believes he should only have contact if he is prepared to fully commit to it.
Consequently, during the September 22 broadcast, it was mentioned that Kody had essentially stopped communicating with Maddie and her husband Caleb Brush when the family unit began to significantly break apart.
Without Kody being around or reaching out, Maddie has taken on a very protective role, as expressed by Janelle. She feels that until he demonstrates reliability and avoids unnecessary drama, it might be best for everyone if he remains out of the picture.
Additionally, Robyn mentioned that she has been advising Kody to take steps to repair their relationship. She further added, “It seems fitting for the children to do the same as well.
Currently, it appears Kody isn’t inclined to mend the divide between him and his daughter. He often complains that their conversations revolve around gossip, finding them exhausting.
During their 32nd anniversary celebration, “He hinted that he had never truly loved me and felt obligated to marry me,” Meri confided in her friend Brandi during the September 15 premiere. “And I responded, ‘Kody,’ I said, ‘I know you cared for me.’
And if he didn’t, the mom to Leon Brown said in a confessional, why did he ever propose?
She pondered, “Why would a solitary young man opt to marry a single young woman without initially feeling love for her? Isn’t it harsh, even cruel, to select someone from a group and then declare, ‘I have chosen you in an attempt to compel myself to develop affection for the next three decades’?
In his private reflection, Kody expressed, “Now, Meri is making some claims against me. Well, let her say what she likes. I won’t be responding to them.
Though, he would share that they never enjoyed a honeymoon period.
In the October 20th episode, he firmly stated that their marriage was in trouble from the very start. He explained his certainty by sharing that he had enjoyed much stronger relationships with Janelle, Christine, and Robyn separately.
He acknowledged that he “ought to have ended the relationship two and a half decades back,” yet he remained due to apprehension, pointing out that leadership would never permit remarriage if one is jettisoning spouses.
Despite being unsure whether to develop Coyote Pass or sell it, Janelle acknowledged that the first move was to settle the Arizona property debt. As Kody refused to discuss the matter, she admitted to her former sister wife Christine Brown in the September 22 episode that “I think I’ll need legal representation.” She explained that this seemed to be the only way she could possibly get a decision out of him.
In simple terms, Janelle admitted that since she and Kody aren’t legally married, she doesn’t have any rights to claim his property. She explained this by saying, “It’s not as easy as calling a lawyer for a divorce when there isn’t even a legal marriage in the first place. It’s quite complicated.
Kody’s reason for avoiding discussions about the Arizona property with Janelle now is because he no longer feels confident in her trustworthiness.
He made it clear during the September 22 episode that he would settle the property matter when necessary, and he refused to share any details about his actions or plans since he’s grown weary of revealing information that gets distorted by the rumor mill in our fractured family.
A bit of a pot calling the kettle black, Janelle said in her own interview.
She conveyed, “He spills secrets as if he has holes in him, and I felt it wasn’t appropriate when he disclosed details about his past relationships and other spouses.
In days when their affection for each other was growing stronger instead of weakening, they would collectively save their funds in a common jar or account.
In simpler terms, Janelle stated during the September 22 episode that we would put all our efforts into assisting one person first, followed by uniting to aid the other. This had been our practice for many years, but recently things have changed and it seems more about personal property ownership rather than mutual support.
When Robyn required a house in Arizona, everyone contributed towards purchasing a $1.65 million, five-bedroom property for her. This property was put up for sale in August.
In Robyn’s explanation, it was planned that the property would benefit the entire family. However, when Janelle proposed that they all be co-signers on the mortgage, she faced opposition. Kody stated, “No, no, we need to safeguard, understandably protect Robyn’s assets,” according to Janelle’s recollection. Now that she’s leaving the family, as Janelle put it, she wishes to receive her share of the Coyote Pass earnings and recover some of the money she invested into Robyn’s house.
But that could be a tough sell.
Robyn remarked, “After all this time collaborating, it’s puzzling to me.” Then, with Janelle mentioning she was due money from them, Robyn expressed her confusion by saying, “I can’t even begin to fathom the math behind that! It’s just so perplexing.
Janelle expressed frustration about the family’s financial struggles with Coyote Pass, as Kody pointed out he has other debts. However, she’s noticed him acquiring other possessions such as trailers and home decorations. “I notice all the artwork on their walls,” she remarked regarding Robyn and Kody’s house. “I see all these things. And that’s okay, I too have spent money on things.” (In his defense, Kody mentioned that most of his funds were used for purchasing vehicles—”Basically a fleet”—and insurance for the children.)
Even though Janelle admitted she wasn’t aware of the financial management of Kody and Robyn, she would often be amazed by the appearance of Robyn’s backyard. It was always well-maintained and complete. Additionally, there were always various items at her house that left Janelle in awe, uttering “Wow. Huh.
Essentially, she conveyed that he didn’t seem to value her needs or desires, which became a significant concern over time. She explained, “I eventually recognized this, and even my children, both adults, were growing increasingly frustrated, expressing their discontent with phrases like, ‘What on earth, Mom?’
Instead, we could say: After her first marriage ended, Robyn became particularly mindful about managing her finances.
During the September 22 episode, she confided, “I wasn’t so skillful with finances in the past. My youth was marked by tough financial lessons, and it was during my divorce that I truly mastered budgeting effectively.” Regarding her fellow sister wives, she casually commented, “It seems like your spending habits were directed towards a different set of priorities than mine, that’s all.
Currently, as seen in the Sept. 22 episode, Janelle admitted that she and Meri, Robyn, and Kody (the parents of Aspyn Brown, Mykelti Brown Padron, Paedon Brown, Gwendlyn Brown, Ysabel Brown, and Truely Brown) seldom interact with each other. In her opinion, this situation is unlikely to change significantly in the near future.
Speaking fondly about their period living on a cul-de-sac with four houses in Las Vegas, Kody expressed, “It was the best phase of my life. Everything ran smoothly, and it was wonderful to have Maddie and Caleb around. I had a special bond with Caleb; he truly felt like family.
In Arizona, disagreements arose concerning coronavirus safety measures, which ultimately led to a deterioration of situations. Similarly, when his marriages disintegrated, he observed that his relationships with the children also weakened, stating that they became increasingly strained and bitter.
But Christine insisted their were issues well before she announced she was leaving in late 2021.
On the September 22 episode, she stated, “The kids who felt frustrated were already feeling that way before I departed. My departure didn’t alter their relationship with him. Kody has the ability to mend his relationships with his children.
Though it’ll definitely take some work.
Kody expressed his frustration, saying, “I’m still upset about how I’ve been wronged, and I haven’t managed to move past it yet.” He continued, “I refuse to accept blame for things my wife or ex-wife is claiming I did. I can only hope that the resentment will eventually fade, and we might be able to find forgiveness and love again.
At the age of 21 and 19, Kody and Meri were not very well acquainted when they got married, both spiritually and legally. Over time, they decided to file for divorce in 2014, allowing Kody to legally adopt Robyn’s three oldest children from her previous marriage. (This sentence is written in a more natural and easily understandable way.)
In our wedding, she seemed quite different from who I expected, and I suspect there were some past issues (or baggage) she carried that I wasn’t aware of. At first, I thought I could tolerate it. However, he stated that everything was a struggle, admitting that he couldn’t endure a life where she was persistently upset with him.
Despite his desire to depart, he found himself unable to do so. Kody, who is in a plural marriage, explained, “If one wishes to remain faithful and adhere to our faith, they can’t ask for a divorce. It’s prohibited. As a result, I couldn’t escape that relationship. Yet, I wasn’t yearning for an exit from the relationship. Instead, I wanted to explore if we could repair and salvage it.
Consequently, Meri believed that they could resolve their issues. However, as Kody explained, whenever they interacted, “She wasn’t pleasant, she wasn’t amusing, she wasn’t compassionate, she wasn’t engaging. I try to be interested in her, but I’m growing weary.
He acknowledged that it might seem as if Meri was left behind, but he clarified that it wasn’t him who asked her to depart. Instead, Christine, Janelle, and Meri were the ones who decided for him to step out of the household.
Despite the fact that neither Janelle nor Christine perceived the necessity of divorcing Kody since their union wasn’t legally binding, Meri requested a formal separation from their church, referred to as a “release,” at the end of 2022.
In the September 22nd episode, she clarified that all four of us had entered into a covenant with Kody when we got married. However, since it’s impossible for all of us to be legally married, we called it a covenant. Now, since none of us are planning to continue our marriages and I don’t wish to be eternally bonded with him if he doesn’t want me, I believe it’s right that we completely sever this relationship.
Kody hesitated on the suggestion, as she wasn’t keen on recognizing the power held by the church’s leaders.
Kody clarified his position: “The harm is so extensive that reconciliation isn’t an option for me,” he said. “In terms of our accountability, I don’t wish to be held accountable by this church and its unnecessary complications. Therefore, I plan to allow Meri the freedom to pursue her own path because if I’m upset with her, it leads to conflict. Frankly, I just need her to move on because it seems like she’s still hanging onto something that’s been over for quite some time.
2021 holiday gift exchange conversation among the 18 Brown offspring took an unfortunate turn, as Christine explained. “Matters spiraled out of control, things went awry,” she said. “Kody, Robyn, and their children were on one side, while Janelle, me, and our kids were completely disregarded by them. This text conversation led to a division within the group.
Robyn explained that her three eldest children perceived the interaction as uncomfortable and felt it necessary to distance themselves from the relationship, but not in a permanent or hostile way. She clarified that it wasn’t about cutting off contact completely or expressing a dislike for her, rather it was more about feeling uneasy about the situation.
For his part, Gabriel is hoping that they could find their way back to each other.
In the October 13th episode, he openly shared his deepest desire: rekindling relationships with Robyn’s kids, particularly Aurora and Dayton. During middle school, Aurora was his cherished companion, while in high school, he always made an effort to connect with Dayton. However, he expressed that he doesn’t hold much optimism for a relationship with their father and Robyn.
Aurora asserted that she had been told on numerous occasions and by various individuals that she wasn’t welcomed as part of the family when her mother married Kody in 2010. They never regarded her as their sister, and they didn’t perceive or treat her in such a way.
Her sister Breanna expressed that she believed the parents might have made more effort to foster our familial bond, but this connection was never truly established.
But Christine isn’t sure how they could have opened their arms any wider.
Robyn’s children and Robyn are always welcome to join any event,” she emphasized. “In other words, they can feel free to drop by our home whenever it suits them.
Simultaneously, she mentioned, her daughter Ysabel Brown had a strong bond with Robyn’s children, and Mykelti Brown Padron resided with them for a while. “There were challenging periods, and my children felt frustrated at times,” she said, “but they viewed Robyn’s kids as their siblings just as dearly.
Speaking enthusiastically about the freedom she experienced, Janelle expressed her viewpoint on plural marriage as follows: “When it works well, it creates this fantastic family structure that you’re involved in, a community where you belong. You have a husband and enjoy a wonderful relationship with him. And the best part is, I still maintain my independence. To me, plural marriage was truly an excellent setup.
According to Janelle, Kody found it more challenging to distribute his affection when the family moved from Las Vegas to Arizona in 2018.
On the September 29 episode, it was pointed out that when Kody relocated to Flagstaff, he found it simpler to keep his distance. Occasionally I had to remind him of our arrangement and tell him he should visit my home. He’d often try to avoid by saying he was exhausted, but I’d respond, “You can rest here just as effectively as you can at Robyn’s.
According to Janelle, her kids were reprimanded when they went into Robyn’s refrigerator. In contrast, for Christine’s children, the problem lay in the fact that they perceived Robyn as being in a relationship with their father, but he was not physically present in their household.
And Robyn said her crew definitely felt the divide.
On the September 29th episode, she mentioned that Meri welcomed both me and my children warmly, but the rest of the family found it difficult to accept us. She expressed that our main desire was to become a part of their family.
However, Gabriel might contend that he and his brothers and sisters made significant efforts to integrate them into their group.
In the October 13th episode, he expressed his belief that Robyn seems to have a tendency towards a victim mentality. To put it simply, this is what he was getting at. And while I don’t necessarily hold her accountable for this, I believe that various individuals develop unique methods to stay afloat in life.
Yet, he added, “If Robyn genuinely thinks that we were unfairly treating her or her children when it seemed like she was favored by Dad and we were consistently building our bond with her kids, if that is truly her belief, then there’s no possibility of me maintaining a relationship with Robyn.
As a devoted follower, I can personally attest that the constant movement between four households significantly impacted me and my 18 siblings, a point I made clear during the September 29 episode. I vividly remember an instance when my youngest child with Robyn, Ariella, who was born in January 2016, held tightly onto my leg as I attempted to depart, underscoring the deep connection and emotional turmoil this lifestyle has brought upon us.
Kody stated, “‘I had to tell her that another wife and family need my attention, leaving me with other children who also require me. It’s tough, she’s clinging to me, crying, ‘Please don’t leave me, Daddy.’ And I feel, ‘Boy, this is difficult.’
Unfortunately, that’s just a reality of plural marriage, insisted Janelle.
From the outset, she clarified that her children had understood their father would not be a constant presence. She expressed concern that Kody and Robyn’s handling of the situation with the children was suboptimal. Leaving for more than three or four days would make Ari extremely sad, in her opinion. She suggested this was negligent parenting, as other children in the family had managed longer absences and are now well-adjusted adults.
Among a small group of children with Brown heritage, Mykelti maintained relationships with not only Robyn and Kody but also Christine and Janelle, her mother. In the midst of Kody’s divorces, Mykelti stepped up to act as a mediator or peacekeeper within the family.
Tight with Robyn from the moment she entered the Brown family, Mykelti even invited her to be at the November 2022 birth of her twins Archer and Ace.
During the September 29th episode, Mykelti shared, “When Robyn initially became part of our family, I was still trying to understand myself. Yet, she managed to make me feel unique and understood.” She further added, “Robyn was a beacon of support when I needed someone. She was there for me during my moments of need, listening, loving me.
Christine’s motherly joy knew no bounds when Robyn joined their family and formed a strong bond with Mykelti, as she expressed on the Oct. 6 episode. “Ever since I dreamed of having a multi-mother household,” Christine explained, “I had always hoped that my children would build loving relationships with other mothers.
Kody believes that it’s not just his wives who are choosing to keep him out of their lives; rather, they seem intentionally to be distancing themselves as a form of punishment for a crime he maintains he didn’t commit. During the October 6 episodes, he shared this perspective on why some of his older children have estranged themselves from him. In his view, he is only culpable for not being deeply in love with their mothers.
What’s more, he continued, he think his former spouses are a bit to blame.
He mentioned that the strain in his relationship with his kids is largely due to negative comments, as he put it. He feels a swirl of disillusionment stemming from the family’s separation, and it seems like he’s been blamed for the mistakes made during that time.
However, although he accepts some responsibility, he strongly objects to the insults. Notably, he admitted difficulties in bonding with Hunter, Maddie, and Gabriel. Kody disclosed that one of his children replied to a message with “You’re worthless. I wouldn’t talk to you again regardless.
In a separate incident, he told cameras, “I’ve had one of my kids just say, ‘You’re an a–hole. I’m never talking to you again. You manipulated me and you brainwashed me.'”
I can’t keep reaching out indefinitely; it’s time for them to step up and take action,” I find myself saying, acknowledging my belief that both parties should contribute to resolving this issue. “I’m ready to put forth the effort, but they need to reciprocate and show some initiative as well.
For Robyn, watching Kody’s estrangement from his adult children hit far too close to home.
In her conversation on October 6th, she shared that her parents divorced when she was very young. At that time, her father lived with another woman in a different city, while her mother lived alone. She recalled a moment when she questioned her biological father about the situation, asking him why he wasn’t around during her childhood. Instead of giving a clear answer, he offered flimsy excuses, which left her feeling disappointed and upset.
Instead of her directly stating that she wouldn’t let Kody’s hurt feelings hinder his effort, it could be rephrased as: She made it clear that she wasn’t going to let Kody’s emotions get in the way of his actions. In a heated argument caught on camera towards the end of 2022, she expressed some reservations about her respect for him, saying, “I find myself struggling not to lose a bit of respect for you.
Kody admitted that he could improve his relationship with his children, but he emphasized that healing his own heart is a priority first.
In simpler terms, he admitted that he believes some of his children are conspiring against him. He expressed his frustration over a recent incident, stating that whenever he speaks to his kids, he fears they might accuse him, which could further upset him. Right now, he feels too emotional and easily angered, fearing that any interaction with them could lead to more problems instead of resolution.
Despite many members of their family being present at Logan’s wedding to Michelle Petty in October 2022, it seemed that the affection was somewhat lacking.
In the October 6th episode, I found myself expressing my feelings to Robyn about an incident. You see, Madison hurriedly whisked her children away from me, and it left me feeling somewhat excluded. What made this situation even more surprising was the fact that I hadn’t known she was expecting her third child, sweet Josephine, who joined our world in February 2023. It’s a bit disheartening that she didn’t share this joyous news with me beforehand.
Frankly, Maddie doesn’t tell her dad much of anything with the two rarely speaking.
Janelle clarified that Maddie has no relationship with Kody because of her strong guardianship over her kids. Kody hasn’t been around since Evie was born, almost four years ago, and Janelle didn’t want him to suddenly appear at the wedding as if he were just a casual acquaintance, leaving their children confused about who this man was claiming to be their grandfather.
Kody believes it’s impractical for grandparents to be constantly involved in their grandchildren’s lives, given the distance, as illustrated by Maddie’s situation in North Carolina. This is particularly true if you relocate your children across coasts, since he has commitments and a life in Flagstaff.
It’s evident that Kody and his grown children hold contrasting perspectives regarding their current rift, with a key issue being his insistence on receiving an apology or acknowledgment of wrongdoing.
Following the end of the COVID-19 concerns and our return to regular life, there remained a rift within our family as Kody felt his sons owed him and Robyn, particularly Robyn, an apology. Janelle expressed this during the Oct. 13 episode, stating that after the situation escalated, it was simply a matter of her sons needing to speak with her directly about the issue.
Janelle explained that Kody’s problem was his belief that his children hadn’t been faithful to him, and he felt that the most cherished member of their family, who had poured her heart and soul into it, had been disregarded or treated unfairly, as she put it. In essence, she said, “Whatever Kody, I get it.
Gabriel conveyed a similar sentiment when he recounted his discussion with his father to Janelle. “He persistently framed it as if I owed him an apology,” Gabriel explained. “Finally, I said something along the lines of, ‘Unless you’re genuinely willing to work on our relationship and make amends, we won’t talk anymore.’ A few days later, he texted me back. He essentially admitted that he had been contemplating my words and asked for forgiveness. I responded, ‘For what exactly?’
Among the six children Kody has with Janelle, he primarily maintains contact only with their youngest child, Savanah. Although it doesn’t happen often, every couple of months they speak on the phone and occasionally meet up. Regarding the other kids, there isn’t much interaction or relationship with him.
Regarding Savannah, who completed high school in the year 2023, it seems her four elder brothers have assumed a more paternal role in her life. In fact, she has already shared with Janelle that she might ask her siblings to escort her during her future wedding ceremony.
According to Janelle, she discussed the matter with Savanah, and Savanah explained, “I’ve come to understand that this is his nature.” She further added, “He will be a fun dad who comes and goes. I can accept him as he is. It’s alright.
Janelle, however, is less forgiving.
She expressed her frustration with Kody, saying, ‘He always disappears with the children after a divorce,’ citing similar experiences with multiple women she has collaborated with in the past.
In the initial stages of their estrangement, “Gabriel found it particularly difficult since Kody often invited Gabriel along during his business travels,” as Janelle put it. She further explained that Kody had been a highly involved father until quite recently.
Meanwhile, Gabriel is puzzled about what he might have done to upset his father, during the October 13 episode, he stated, “I told Dad that if he doesn’t change and can’t admit fault, then I won’t be around him anymore. And I’m completely fine with that decision.
In her own words, she expressed that he feels content with his father being absent from his life. Furthermore, it’s a wish I hold for all my children, and I believe they are growing towards that same sentiment.
For his part, Kody also seems resigned to the situation.
He expressed his apologies for how Gabriel seems, adding that he has made several attempts to reach out to him, yet those efforts were met with rejection. However, this wasn’t due to any lack of effort on his side.
In late 2022, Meri was the one who parted ways with Kody, formally ending their relationship as per their religious beliefs, which refers to this action as a “release,” due to feelings of abandonment.
On the October 13th broadcast, I observed that he seems averse to using a certain term, as it triggers in him a sense of not having left me behind. Instead, I believe he feels more like I was the one who was left.
To put it another way, she believes he paid little attention to her until she decided to depart, which allowed him to claim innocence by saying, “I have no involvement.
And Kody didn’t totally deny that he had a bit of a strategy.
He shared that he had moved past the situation a while back, but admitted honestly that he was apprehensive about revealing the truth because Meri might react negatively. The reason for his concern was Meri’s lack of loyalty towards him throughout their relationship, which had always been a source of worry. Essentially, he was concerned about preserving his reputation, as going through a divorce can tarnish one’s standing.
Instead, alleged Meri, it was hers that was being tarnished.
She expressed her disappointment by saying, “It’s truly disheartening that Kody speaks about our marriage as he does. It seems his perspective on our relationship has shifted, yet the accusations he makes about me to others, which many believe, are untrue.
Before Christina eventually parted ways with Kody, it became apparent to her that they were not a suitable pair based on a task suggested by their marriage counselor in Las Vegas.
In her quest to identify the traits she desired in a partner, Christine penned down qualities such as a good communicator, someone who would be actively involved in her and their shared children’s lives, and someone who was genuinely attracted to her. However, it turned out that Kody didn’t possess any of these characteristics, as she candidly shared on the October 20 broadcast. “I presented him with the list, and he admitted, ‘I don’t fit those qualities for you,'” Christine stated. “I responded, ‘No, you don’t.’
The letter played a significant role in her swift realization that David Woolley was indeed her match.
She enthusiastically shared that family holds the utmost significance for this widowed father of eight. Not only does he run his own drywall company, but he is known for his integrity and authenticity, making him an exceptional individual in interpersonal communication.
