As a therapist, I can’t help but empathize with these individuals who are navigating through the complexities of their relationships. Each person’s story is unique and reflects their individual experiences, strengths, and vulnerabilities.
Janelle Brown isn’t buying ex Kody Brown’s excuses.
In the December 1st episode of Sister Wives, Janelle chose to host a graduation celebration for her and Kody’s youngest child, Savanah Brown, without extending an invitation to her daughter’s 18-year-old father.
According to Janelle, Kody is estranged from approximately 90 to 95 percent of his children. She stated that Kody isn’t desired at gatherings and won’t attend, regardless of who he brings or leaves behind.
It’s worth noting that the person mentioned earlier, Kody’s wife, goes by the name Robyn Brown. She is the only one among Janelle, Christine, and Meri, the previous wives of Kody, who remains married to him after they all parted ways with their former polygamous relationship.
Janelle pointed out that Kody believes leaving Robyn at home might allow him to attend family events, but this notion is significantly off the mark,” or simply, “According to Janelle, Kody thinks he can come to family gatherings if he leaves Robyn behind, but she stated this idea is way off base.
It appears Kody acknowledged Janelle’s statement when he mentioned in a private interview that his family would accept him only if he were to exclude Robyn.
He expressed his desire to be involved in Savanah’s life, but it appears there’s a clique that seems hostile towards Robyn, and he’s unsure of the reason, suspecting it might be jealousy. He also mentioned having another family group who have chosen to stay together, yet they’re only willing to accept him if he excludes Robyn. He can’t agree to that.
In the end, Kody managed to make it to Savannah’s real graduation that happened in May 2023. After the event concluded, he captured a memorable photo with his daughter.
At the event, Savannah was joined by her siblings, Gabriel, Gwendlyn Brown, and the deceased Garrison, for a photo, distinctly apart from Kody.
Apart from sharing remarks about Kody’s strained relationships with his kids in private, Janelle also addressed the issue openly during the November 3rd episode of the TLC series, speaking candidly to Kody himself.
She clarified that the children seem quite distant from you. There’s a lot of complexity involved, and I don’t feel comfortable being caught in the middle of it all.
Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.

Kody Brown stated that he was prepared to part ways with his first wife, Meri Brown, not long after they exchanged vows in 1990. However, according to Meri, Kody had given her the impression that he would address their issues by saying, “Oh Meri, when we move to Flagstaff, this will be a good opportunity for us to start anew.” This was in reference to their relocation in 2018. Meri continued, expressing that Kody had often led her to believe such things, and this was merely the latest example of his actions over many years.
In my perspective, one thing I’ve found challenging is his inconsistent communication regarding his feelings, desires, and boundaries. Over the years, I’ve often wondered about the truth behind the stories he’s shared with me.
Kody admitted that there might have been some ambiguous signals, but this was due to the fact that as he began working on various tasks, he found himself questioning, “What’s the point of doing this?” He elaborated, expressing that he wouldn’t pursue a relationship with her at this time.
Either way, Meri’s friends were thrilled when she finally pulled the plug in early 2023.
She admitted, “They said something like, ‘We’re here for you, we’re on your side. It’s high time,'” revealing that she had finally seen through her blinders. For years, she believed he had been trying to make her leave by denying his love towards her, “Because if I leave, then he isn’t the villain because he didn’t walk away.
A while after their acquisition of a 14-acre piece of land in Flagstaff, Ariz., intended for construction, Kody admitted during the season premiere that he was ready to let that dream fade. Since they couldn’t construct without fully settling the $820,000 price (reportedly paid off in 2023), he expressed this sentiment to his remaining wife, Robyn Brown: “I prefer either abandoning it or selling it and starting fresh somewhere else.
As for Robyn, “I can’t talk about that,” she responded. “That is so not where I’m at.”
In a previous interview with TopMob News, Janelle Brown mentioned that they gradually drifted away from each other. However, it was the inconsistencies in Kody’s role as a parent to some of their children that ultimately led to her decision to part ways.
What truly ignited things for me was when his bond with my kids deteriorated, and it appeared he wasn’t willing to go the extra mile to mend it,” the mom shared with Logan Brown, Madison Brown Brush, Hunter Brown, Garrison Brown, Gabriel Brown, and Savanah Brown. “And at that moment, I realized that was what had been keeping me here all along.
In the November 3rd episode, reconciling was an absolute no-go for Janelle when Kody proposed it.
She stated, “I can’t imagine finding a way for us to make peace and for him not to be part of my children’s lives, but I will always prioritize them.
That was the explanation Kody gave for not working harder to mend the rifts he was experiencing with several of his adult children.
In the September 15th episode, he expressed his feelings of not belonging in the family anymore. Despite being legally married to Robyn and jointly parenting their five children – Dayton Brown, Aurora Brown, Breanna Brown, Solomon Brown, and Ariella Brown – he also has limited relationships with some of the other kids. He questioned, “With all of this, what am I supposed to do? It doesn’t feel like a family.
In a surprising turn for our 14-year long journey together, I admitted during the season 19 premiere that our marriage is experiencing its toughest times yet. It’s been challenging between us, and Kody seems to be uncertain whether to blame himself or one of the other wives. He’s feeling a lot of rejection right now, which makes him question if I might reject him too.
Consequently, she disclosed, “I’m always alert. I’m constantly checking to ensure he isn’t undermining our relationship.” In her own words, she expressed the most challenging aspect: “There’s nothing available to guide me through the concept that I’m still married to a man who is getting divorced multiple times.
Meanwhile, Kody struggled with self-doubt, expressing, “I find it hard to stand before a mirror and tell myself sincerely, ‘You’re amazing, buddy.’
In my perspective, it felt like a tough ordeal observing my ex-sister wives stride into their fresh chapter. I couldn’t help but remark during the October 27 broadcast, “They’re all advancing, while I seem to be the one who’s been left in the dust.
It was disclosed in the premiere that Janelle’s oldest child, Madison, is not maintaining a connection with Kody at present. As Janelle stated, “I know there haven’t been any discussions between Maddie and her father.” Neither has called the other, and there isn’t currently a relationship between them or with Robin. Essentially, she has distanced herself from both of them.
The concern, as expressed by Janelle, is about Kody not fully engaging in a relationship with Maddie’s children Axel, Evangalynn, and Josephine: “She feels he should only have contact if he can make a firm commitment.
In the Sept. 22 episode, it was revealed that Kody had stopped communicating with Maddie and her husband Caleb Brush when the family began to break apart significantly.
Without Kody being present or reaching out, Maddie has taken on a very protective role, as Janelle put it. She feels that until he becomes more reliable and less prone to drama, it might be best for them not to acknowledge his presence.
Additionally, Robyn mentioned that she’s been urging Kody to make amends, but she also expressed, “I believe our children could benefit from taking similar steps as well.
Currently, it appears as if Kody isn’t inclined to mend the rift, complaining that whenever he talks to his daughter, the conversations often turn into gossip-mongering, leaving him feeling exhausted.
During their 32nd anniversary celebration, Meri confided in her friend Brandi that “He hinted at not loving me and feeling like he had to marry me.” In response, she told him, “‘Kody,’ I said, ‘I know you did love me.’
And if he didn’t, the mom to Leon Brown said in a confessional, why did he ever propose?
She pondered, “Why would a solitary young man decide to marry a single young woman when he didn’t feel love for her at that moment? It seems harsh, doesn’t it? To select me among many and then say, ‘I choose you in the hope of forcing myself to grow to love you for the next three decades’?
In his personal reflection, Kody mentioned that Meri is making some allegations, but he doesn’t mind. He’s not planning to respond to them publicly.
Though, he would share that they never enjoyed a honeymoon period.
On the October 20th episode, he firmly stated that their marriage was in trouble from the very beginning. He explained this by saying, “I had much stronger relationships with Janelle, Christine, and Robyn.
He acknowledged that he should have ended the relationship twenty-five years back, yet he continued due to fear. Remarkably, he mentioned that leadership wouldn’t permit remarriage if one is disposing of spouses. (In this context, “leadership” refers to societal or cultural norms.)
Despite being uncertain whether to develop Coyote Pass or just sell it, Janelle acknowledged that the first move was to settle the Arizona property’s debt. With Kody not open to discussing the matter, she expressed her concern to ex-sister wife Christine Brown in the September 22 episode: “I believe I might need a lawyer,” she admitted. “Because I think that’s the only way I can possibly get any kind of resolution from him.
In simpler terms, Janelle admitted that since she and Kody are not legally married, she has no rights to claim any of his property through a divorce process. She explained further that the situation is complex as there is no legal marriage to begin with.
Kody’s reason for not discussing the Arizona property with Janelle is because he no longer has confidence in her.
He made it clear during the September 22 episode that he would settle the property when necessary, and he didn’t want to share details about his actions or plans because he’s grown weary of revealing information that gets twisted by the rumor mill in our fractured family.
A bit of a pot calling the kettle black, Janelle said in her own interview.
She confided, “He spills secrets as if he were a colander, revealing details about his past relationships and multiple wives that left me wondering if he should have been sharing such information with me.
In times past, when their love continued to grow instead of wane, they would combine their funds in a common fund.
In simpler terms, Janelle stated during the September 22 broadcast, “We’d put all our efforts into helping one person, followed by supporting the next person. This was the norm for quite some time, but in the last decade or so, it seems like everything shifted towards personal estates and everyone wanting their own.
When Robyn found herself needing a house in Arizona, everyone chipped in to purchase a five-bedroom property worth $1.65 million that was recently up for sale in August.
Initially, Robyn mentioned that acquiring the property would benefit the entire family. However, when Janelle proposed that they all share the mortgage responsibility, she was met with resistance. Kody responded, “No, no, we need to safeguard, understandably protect Robyn’s assets,” as Janelle remembered. Now, since she’s leaving the family, according to Janelle, she desires her share of the Coyote Pass earnings and wants to recover some of the funds she invested in Robyn’s home.
But that could be a tough sell.
As we’ve been joined at the hip for such an extended period, I find myself utterly bewildered, almost as if I’m grappling with a complex cosmic equation. You see, Janelle mentions a debt owed to her by them, and I can’t help but wonder: How do you quantify this? How does one even begin to decipher such a puzzle? It’s perplexing beyond belief!
Speaking about our financial struggles with Coyote Pass, I find myself expressing my concerns over Kody’s claims about having numerous other debts. Despite this, it seems he has managed to acquire various assets such as trailers and home decorations. It’s hard not to notice the artwork adorning Robyn and Kody’s walls, or all the items they possess. I understand that we all spend money on things, but it’s just that I can’t help but observe these acquisitions. On a different note, Kody defended himself by stating that most of his funds were invested in vehicles, as he put it, “I essentially built a fleet,” and insurance for our children.
Janelle admitted that she wasn’t certain about Kody and Robyn’s financial management, but she often found herself astonished by the beauty of Robyn’s backyard. It was always well-maintained and complete, and there were always various items at her house. This left Janelle exclaiming, “Wow. Huh.
Ultimately, she expressed that he didn’t give importance to her needs or desires, which was something she couldn’t ignore over time. She added, “I noticed this more and more, and even my grown children were getting quite frustrated, expressing their feelings like ‘What on earth, Mom?’
Robyn’s perspective was that she became extremely cautious with her finances following the breakdown of her initial marriage.
She revealed during the Sept. 22 episode, “I wasn’t very good with handling finances in the past.” Growing up, she experienced tough times, and it wasn’t until her divorce that she truly mastered budgeting skills. Regarding her sister wives, she commented, “It seems like you prioritized your spending differently than I did, that’s all.
Currently, as seen in the September 22 episode, Janelle admitted that she and Meri, Robyn, and Kody (parents of Aspyn Brown, Mykelti Brown Padron, Paedon Brown, Gwendlyn Brown, Ysabel Brown, and Truely Brown) seldom interact with each other. In her opinion, this situation is unlikely to change significantly in the near future.
Speaking fondly about the period when they shared four homes on a single cul-de-sac in Las Vegas, Kody reminisced, “It was an unforgettable chapter in my life. Things were running smoothly and it was wonderful having Maddie and Caleb around. I had a strong bond with Caleb; he truly felt like family.
In Arizona, disagreements arose concerning coronavirus safety measures, leading to a deterioration of things. After his marriages dissolved, he lamented that the connections with his children suffered too; they soured as a result.
But Christine insisted their were issues well before she announced she was leaving in late 2021.
She remarked during the September 22 broadcast, “The children who felt frustrated were already so before I departed. My departure didn’t alter their relationship with their father. Kody has the ability to mend his relationships with his children.
Though it’ll definitely take some work.
As a committed individual, I can’t move past the way I’ve been wronged because it’s left such a deep impact on me. Let me clarify, I’m not willing to shoulder blame for actions that my spouse or former spouse is attributing to me unjustly. I fervently hope that one day, the resentment will dissipate, paving the way for us to find forgiveness and rekindle our love once more.
At the age of 21 and 19, Kody and Meri had only a limited connection with one another when they got married both spiritually and legally. They later divorced in 2014 so that Kody could adopt Robyn’s three older children from her previous marriage. (This paragraph is a summary of their marital history on the reality TV show “Sister Wives.”)
In our wedding, she seemed quite different and I believe there were some issues from her past (referred to as ‘baggage’) that I wasn’t aware of. At first, I thought I could cope with it. However, he admitted that everything was a struggle because he couldn’t continue living in a situation where she was consistently angry with him.
Despite his desire to depart, Kody explained that due to their plural marriage arrangement, a divorce was not an option for him. He added, “I couldn’t escape from that relationship because it isn’t permissible. Yet, I didn’t feel the need to leave either. Instead, I questioned whether we could repair and salvage our union.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: In our interactions, Meri and I seemed to have some unresolved issues. However, whenever we were together, she didn’t exhibit qualities that I found appealing such as warmth, fun, kindness, or intrigue. Instead, I found myself feeling more bored than curious about her.
In all honesty, I understand why Meri might feel left behind, but let me clarify that it wasn’t a forced eviction on my part. Instead, Christine, Janelle, and Meri made the decision for me to depart from our shared home.
Despite the fact that neither Janelle nor Christine considered it necessary to formally divorce Kody as their union was not legally recognized, Meri petitioned their church for an official separation, termed a “release,” towards the end of 2022.
In the episode on September 22nd, she clarified that all four of us women were united with Kody through our church in a special commitment known as a covenant, not legally. Since we’re no longer considering marriage with him, and I don’t wish to be bonded with him for eternity if he doesn’t feel the same, it seems best to dissolve this commitment completely. This is my decision, and I prefer to separate ourselves entirely from that union now.
Kody was hesitant about the concept, she stated, preferring not to recognize or submit to the leadership of the church officials.
Kody expressed that the harm inflicted was so severe that reconciliation is no longer an option, regardless of circumstances. Furthermore, he stated that he no longer wishes to be held responsible to this church due to its excessive rules and nonsense. As a result, he will allow Meri to pursue her own path since holding grudges against her would lead to arguments. He feels it’s best for her to move on because she has taken so long to accept that the situation is over for years.
2021’s holiday gift exchange conversation took an unpleasant turn for the 18 Brown family members. As Christine explained, “Things escalated quickly, things took a turn for the worse.” It seemed that Kody, Robyn, and their children formed one group, intentionally excluding Janelle, me, and our kids from their plans. This text conversation led to a division within the family afterwards.
In my perspective, my three elders mentioned that they found the interaction “uncomfortable emotionally” and suggested a temporary pause in our relationship. However, it wasn’t about cutting ties or distancing ourselves completely. Instead, they simply expressed, “This has become a bit sticky.
For his part, Gabriel is hoping that they could find their way back to each other.
He admitted during the October 13 episode that what he yearns for most is to rebuild his bond with Robyn’s kids. In middle school, Aurora was the one he enjoyed spending time with the most. High school found him trying to connect with Dayton frequently. However, he shared that he’s not optimistic about establishing a relationship with their father and Robyn.
Aurora asserted that she was informed on numerous occasions, by various individuals, that she wasn’t welcomed as part of the family when her mother married Kody in 2010. They never regarded her as a sister, and she was not considered or perceived in that manner by them.
Her sister Breanna expressed that she believed the parents might have made more effort to strengthen our family bond, but unfortunately, this didn’t materialize effectively.
But Christine isn’t sure how they could have opened their arms any wider.
Robyn’s children and she are always welcome to any event,” she emphasized. “Simply feel free to drop by our house whenever it suits you.
Speaking as a lifestyle expert, let me share an interesting dynamic in my family. My daughter, Ysabel Brown, has always been incredibly close to Robyn’s children. In fact, Mykelti Brown Padron spent quite some time living with them. Through the challenging times and moments of frustration, my kids viewed Robyn’s children as their siblings without a second thought.
Speaking passionately about the freedom it offers, Janelle expressed her viewpoint on plural marriage: “When it works well, it creates an extraordinary family structure that you’re involved in, a tight-knit community that you’re connected to. You have a husband and you enjoy a wonderful relationship with him. Plus, I maintain my independence too. To me, having multiple spouses was not just acceptable, but a truly fantastic setup.
As a devoted follower, I can share my perspective on this matter: In 2018 when our family moved from Las Vegas to Arizona, Kody seemed to face a greater challenge in distributing his affection.
In the September 29th episode, it was mentioned that Kody, upon moving to Flagstaff, found it more convenient to stay away. On a few occasions, she had to remind him to visit her place. He often used exhaustion as an excuse, but she pointed out, “You’re really tired? You can rest just as effectively at my house as you can at Robyn’s.
Janelle expressed that her kids experienced a sense of distance with Robyn, stating, “My children were reprimanded if they dared to open Robyn’s refrigerator.” On the other hand, Christine’s kids perceived the separation because “they noticed that Robyn and their father were in a relationship, yet he was not part of our household.
And Robyn said her crew definitely felt the divide.
She mentioned on the September 29th episode that Meri generally welcomed both me and my children warmly, but the rest of the family found it challenging to accept us. Essentially, our goal was to become an integral part of their family.
However, Gabriel might assert that he and his brothers or sisters made significant efforts to integrate them into their group.
In the October 13 episode, he expressed his belief that Robyn seems to have a complex about being a victim. To be more direct, but not placing blame, I would say that she, like others, has developed certain coping mechanisms to stay resilient.
Yet, he went on to say, “If it’s truly her conviction that we mistreated her or her children while she was receiving preferential treatment from Dad and we were diligently working towards bonding with her kids, if she genuinely holds this belief, then there’s no possibility of me maintaining a relationship with Robyn.
It was evident from Kody’s account during the September 29 episode that the frequent moves between four homes significantly impacted his eighteen children. He narrated a particular instance where his and Robyn’s youngest, Ariella (born in January 2016), became very attached to him as he attempted to depart, clinging tightly to his leg.
Kody shared, “‘I had to tell her, ‘There’s another woman who needs me, another mother. Other children depend on me,'” reflecting the difficulty he felt. “She clung to me, crying, ‘Don’t abandon me, Daddy, don’t leave me.’ It was a tough moment for me.
Unfortunately, that’s just a reality of plural marriage, insisted Janelle.
Initially, she made it clear to her children that their father wouldn’t always be around due to his frequent absences. It seemed to her that Kody and Robyn handled the situation poorly regarding their children. He was unable to stay away for more than three or four days because Ari became so distressed. This behavior struck her as irresponsible parenting, as she observed that the other siblings had managed similar situations in the family’s history and are now well-adjusted adults.
Among the relatively few young individuals with the last name Brown, Mykelti maintained relationships with both Robyn and Kody, as well as Christine and Janelle. In the midst of Kody’s divorces, Mykelti assumed the role of mediator to help keep peace within the family.
From the instant Robyn joined the Brown household, Mykelti warmly welcomed her, inviting her to share in the joyous occasion of the November 2022 delivery of her twins, Archer and Ace.
During the September 29th episode, Mykelti shared that when Robyn initially became a part of our family, I was still trying to understand myself. Robyn made me feel unique and understood, she was someone who I could rely on. She was there for me in my times of need, providing a listening ear, love, and support.
Christine was overjoyed beyond words when she saw how well her daughter Robyn got along with Mykelti. On the October 6th episode, she expressed her feelings by saying, “Ever since I dreamt of having a multi-parent family, I’ve always hoped that my children would form strong bonds with other mothers. And it seems like my dreams are coming true!
Kody believes it’s not just his wives who have chosen to exclude him from their lives; rather, he thinks they are deliberately doing so as a form of retribution for a crime he didn’t commit. He expressed this view during the October 6 episode, discussing his strained relationship with some of his older children due to estrangement. Essentially, he sees himself as innocent of the crime of not being deeply in love with their mothers.
What’s more, he continued, he think his former spouses are a bit to blame.
I find myself grappling with a significant rift in my relationship with my children, and I attribute it primarily to my own self-talk. It’s as if there’s a storm of disillusionment brewing from the breakdown of our family, and it seems like an easy excuse to say, “Let’s point fingers; let’s blame Dad for making mistakes.
However, though he bears some responsibility for the situation, he strongly objects to the insults hurled at him. In particular, he admitted that he had difficulty bonding with Hunter, Maddie, and Gabriel. Kody disclosed that one of his children replied to a text with the harsh words, “You are garbage. I wouldn’t talk to you again even if I tried.
In another occurrence, he expressed to the cameras, “One of my children recently said to me, ‘You are incredibly rude. I will no longer speak with you. You’ve deceived me and indoctrinated me.’
He won’t continue to handle the toxic situation, he stated, adding that he believes his elders should take more responsibility for resolving issues. He’s ready to put in the work, but he expects others to step up and do their part as well.
For Robyn, watching Kody’s estrangement from his adult children hit far too close to home.
In my childhood, my parents chose separate paths, which meant my father lived with another woman in a different city, while my mother resided alone. During our conversations, I’d ask him about the reasons behind their separation, only to be left unsatisfied with his less-than-convincing explanations. He seemed unable to provide a meaningful answer as to why he was largely absent during my formative years, and it was an incredibly disappointing experience for me.
In the spirit of transparency, I must admit that her words momentarily stirred doubts within me about your resolve. During our intense confrontation last year, she confided, “I find it hard not to question my respect for you a bit,” she admitted. However, this did not deter me from persisting in my endeavors.
Despite acknowledging that he could be putting more effort into repairing his relationship with his children, Kody emphasized that healing his own heart is a priority before making any significant strides in their relationship.
He confided that some of his children seem to be conspiring against him, and he admitted, “I’m so enraged by the situation that when I communicate with my kids, I fear they might provoke me with accusations. At this moment, I’m too emotionally charged. Instead, I might only exacerbate the problem further.
Despite a large portion of their family being present at Logan and Michelle Petty’s wedding in October 2022, there seemed to be a lack of affection or warmth among them.
Kody told Robyn that he felt upset because Madison had left him without saying why, and later found out that she was pregnant with her third child (Josephine) without informing him beforehand.
Frankly, Maddie doesn’t tell her dad much of anything with the two rarely speaking.
Janelle clarified that Maddie avoids Kody because he has no relationship with him. Maddie takes great care of her children, and Kody hasn’t been around since Evie was born over three-and-a-half years ago. Janelle didn’t want Kody to suddenly show up at the wedding, claiming to be Evie’s grandfather, causing confusion among the kids who might not recognize him.
Kody stated that it can be unreasonable to expect grandparents to always be present in their grandchildren’s lives, using Maddie’s situation in North Carolina as an example. He added that this can be particularly challenging when moving one’s children to a completely different coast, since he has commitments and a life in Flagstaff.
It seems that despite the divergent perspectives between Kody and his grown kids regarding their current estrangement, a major disagreement arises over him insisting on an apology or acknowledgment of wrongdoing from his side.
Following the COVID crisis, we returned to our usual routines, but there remained a rift within our family. Kody expressed that his sons particularly owed an apology to him and especially to Robyn, which he felt was necessary. He then added that the issue had evolved to the point where they simply needed to come and discuss things with him directly. This is according to Janelle in the October 13 episode.
Janelle explained that Kody felt his children hadn’t shown him loyalty, adding, “The one who gives her heart and soul in this family has been disrespected or something ridiculous like that.” She then said, “‘Whatever Kody, yeah, whatever,’ was my response.
Gabriel conveyed a similar sentiment, narrating an exchange with his father. “He persistently framed it as if I needed to apologize,” he told Janelle. “In time, I responded, ‘Unless you’re genuinely prepared to rebuild our relationship and address the issues, we won’t communicate any further.’ A few days later, he contacted me again via text. He said, ‘Hey, I’ve been contemplating your words. I forgive you, Please extend forgiveness to me.’ I retorted, ‘Forgive me for what exact transgression?’
Out of his six children with Janelle, Kody primarily interacts with only his youngest daughter, Savanah, albeit not often but about every couple of months they would speak and meet up as described in the October 13th episode. The rest of their children don’t seem to maintain much relationship or connection with him.
Regarding Savannah, who completed high school in 2023, she perceives her four elder brothers as assuming a fatherly role. In fact, Savannah has admitted to Janelle that she might ask her siblings to escort her during her future wedding ceremony.
According to Janelle, she discussed the matter with Savanah, and Savanah expressed that she has understood his character better. She described him as the type of father who will join us for fun times but may not always be present. Janelle is accepting this situation and finds it acceptable.
Janelle, however, is less forgiving.
She expressed her frustration towards Kody, saying, “I can’t help but feel disheartened. You see, I’ve encountered similar situations before. There are numerous women I’ve collaborated with who, after their divorce, found that the children’s father disappeared from their lives.
In my professional opinion, I’ve found myself deeply affected when my dad, who used to include me in his business travels, started distancing himself over time. Previously, he was a hands-on father, always eager and involved. However, the last couple of years have seen a shift in our relationship dynamics.
Despite feeling puzzled about what might have upset his father, Gabriel asserted during the October 13 episode, “I told Dad that if he doesn’t change and can’t admit fault, I simply won’t visit him anymore. And I’m completely fine with that decision.
In her own words, she expressed that he finds comfort in the fact that his father isn’t present in his life. Furthermore, it’s a wish I have for all my children to achieve similar peace, and I believe they are gradually understanding this idea.
For his part, Kody also seems resigned to the situation.
He expressed his apologies for how Gabriel seems, admitting in private that he has attempted to reach out to him several times but hasn’t been successful. However, he wants to make it clear that his efforts haven’t been due to a lack of effort on his part.
It’s possible that Kody’s final spouse was the one who parted ways with him, and this separation became official towards the end of 2022. She did so by asking for, and obtaining, what their religion terms as a release, based on the claim of desertion.
On the October 13th episode, she remarked, “I understand he dislikes that term since it doesn’t align with his perception that he didn’t leave me. Instead, it seems to him that I was the one left behind.
In truth, she believes he neglected her until she chose to depart, which allowed him to claim, “I have no involvement.
And Kody didn’t totally deny that he had a bit of a strategy.
He admitted that he had already moved on a while back, but he was hesitant to confront her due to fear of her reaction. You see, Meri wasn’t faithful to me, not once. That’s what I’ve been apprehensive about. It’s more about preserving our reputations because when a divorce happens, it can tarnish one’s image.
Instead, alleged Meri, it was hers that was being tarnished.
She expressed her disappointment by saying, “It’s truly unfortunate how Kody is speaking about our marriage, as if he’s telling a different story. The things he’s claiming about me to others just aren’t accurate, yet it seems like they’re being accepted as truth.
Prior to Christina parting ways with Kody, it became clear to her that they were not well-suited for each other based on a task suggested by their marriage counselor in Las Vegas.
Christine wrote a list detailing her desired traits in a partner, which included someone who communicates well, actively participates in family life, and finds her attractive. However, Kody didn’t match any of these qualities according to her, as she shared on the October 20 episode. “He told me he wasn’t any of those things for me,” she said, emphasizing her point with “No, he’s not.
The missive was part of the reason she knew so quickly that now-husband David Woolley was her person.
As a devoted admirer, I can attest that family stands supreme in his life. This widowed father of eight, who runs his own drywall business, is renowned for his unwavering honesty and authenticity. What truly sets him apart, though, is his exceptional communication skills.
