In another occurrence, he expressed to the cameras, “One of my children recently said, ‘You’re a jerk. I won’t talk to you anymore. You deceived me and you indoctrinated me.’
He won’t continue to handle the toxicity on his own, as he stated, “I won’t keep reaching out indefinitely.” He believes that the grown-ups involved should take more responsibility for resolving the issues. “I’m prepared to put forth an effort,” he said, “but someone else needs to be ready to meet me halfway and contribute their own effort as well.
For Robyn, watching Kody’s estrangement from his adult children hit far too close to home.
During the October 6th episode, she shared that her parents divorced when she was very young. At that time, her biological father lived with another woman in a different city, while her mother lived alone. She recalled asking him why he wasn’t around during her childhood, to which he provided unsatisfactory explanations. It was an unpleasant experience for her as his excuses didn’t make up for the absence that she felt.

He mentioned that his daughter hadn’t informed him about her third pregnancy, which resulted in the birth of their daughter Josephine in February 2023.
