Skai Jackson is detailing horrific abuse she endured from Deondre Burgin.
A former student of Jesse, who gave birth to Kasai with her ex in January, filed a petition for a protective order on May 19th, claiming multiple incidents of domestic abuse over the past year, which were inflicted by Burgin.
In the records, Jackson outlines an incident from last June where Burgin felt jealous upon receiving a text message. He mentioned this jealousy stemmed from a male having texted her, and as a result, Burgin damaged her phone and squeezed her against the kitchen countertop.
Jackson continued by stating that Burgin ordered her to consume bleach for the purpose of ending their unborn child. The 23-year-old detailed how he subsequently forced her out of their residence with a knife, guiding her to the driver’s side of her vehicle.
In my own words, I’d put it this way: “I penned down that if I cried for aid, he would plunge a knife into my abdomen. Later on, he phoned a buddy to announce his intention of taking my life.” Jackson made sure to add this detail.
Following the supposed phone conversation, I was instructed by Burgin to navigate towards a physician, allegedly with the intention of seeking an abortion.
Jackson went on, “He questioned me when I attempted it, saying I seemed insane. He also wondered why I’d consider harming our yet-to-be-born child.
Apart from accusing Burgin of physically attacking her on several occasions, Jackson described enduring weekly abuse from May through October 2024. Notably, she mentioned an instance where Burgin brandished a firearm as a threat towards her.
In a disagreement that took place in July 2024, she explained that she had shut herself inside the bathroom, and he threatened to force his way in if she didn’t come out. Subsequently, he violently broke down the door with punches and kicks, causing it to split in half. He proceeded to shove her against the bathroom wall and continued to choke her until she could no longer breathe.
In another part of her petition, Jackson requested that the restraining order be expanded to include their 3-month-old child, claiming that Burgin had physically harmed her as late as Mother’s Day.
In a troubling turn of events, I found myself in a distressing situation where Deondre Burgin physically attacked me. This occurred as I held our precious little one. He violently seized my hair, forcefully slammed my head against the back window of my car, and struck me across the face – all while holding our son. It’s crucial to address such incidents for the safety and well-being of everyone involved.
In my professional opinion, I firmly state that I don’t feel secure in the presence of Burgin, especially when it comes to me and our little one. To elaborate on a recent event that took place on May 11th, he made a comment that was utterly unacceptable, saying, “F” my child. This behavior is not only disconcerting but also deeply concerning for the wellbeing of our family.
Though Jackson’s application for a lasting protective order is still under review, she has been temporarily protected by one until the scheduled hearing in a month. Our TopMob News team has tried reaching out to Burgin about Jackson’s petition, but we haven’t received a response yet.
