Skate is Getting a Playtest on Consoles

Full Circle Developers have shared exciting news: Their upcoming skateboarding game, titled “Skate,” is set to be released on consoles for a playtesting phase. If you’re a PS5 or Xbox Series X/S gamer eager to try out this new title, simply visit the official game website to sign up for the playtest through your preferred social media platform X.

The announcement was given during a question-and-answer session between developers and gamers, following their PC playtest in September. When players inquired about the status of console testing, initially scheduled for Fall 2024, the developers assured everyone that it would be taking place shortly.

It’s important to mention that although announcements for Skate playtesting have been made, not every enthusiastic player will be chosen. The studio continues to be selective about who participates in its playtesting sessions. Nevertheless, this process is ongoing, and the studio is actively striving to include more and more players in the playtest.

In September, it was revealed that the game “Skate” would be available for Early Access sometime in 2025, following extensive development and multiple testing sessions on PC. Despite this announcement, the studio has not yet specified a concrete release date.

The game titled “Skate” is designed to be free-to-play, with an enormous focus on personalizing player characters. A developer diary has been released, detailing the significant role that character customization will play in the game. Players can expect a wide variety of customization options, including body types, shapes, heights, and numerous wardrobe choices.
