Skull and Bones Gets New Death Tides PvP Mode With Rewards Contributing to Smuggler Pass

As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited to share that I just learned about the release of Death Tides PvP mode in Ubisoft’s multiplayer pirate game, Skull and Bones! This thrilling update is now available for free. To mark this momentous occasion, they’ve also unveiled a fresh trailer showcasing the new feature. If you haven’t seen it yet, make sure to check it out below!

The teaser highlights several aspects of the Death Tides gameplay, such as its distinctive maps, powerful abilities that users can employ, varying vessel configurations, and prizes up for grabs, including items like the Garuda-class Sharpshooter ship that specializes in long-range skirmishes while also providing a swift exit option for players to avoid hazardous situations.

As a devoted player, I’m thrilled about the four captivating maps – Brimstone, Sanctuary, Sunken Ruins, and Mukiti Falls – available in the Death Tides mode. Engaging in the pulse-pounding PvP experience offers exciting rewards and XP, not just for the mode itself, but also contributing to my progress in the main game and the recently introduced Smuggler Pass, which is part of the Ascent Into Chaos update that dropped in April.

In its latest update, Death Tides has been added to the roster of other additions made to Skull and Bones, such as Item Ascension and a revamped World Tier system. Essentially, Item Ascension offers players an opportunity to enhance their equipment beyond Infamy Tier 9 by incorporating Modification Slots, which can then be filled with items granting additional bonuses. In the upcoming Season 2 of Year 2 for Skull and Bones, known as Oaths of War, there are additional features in store. Players will face a significant choice by aligning with one of two factions within the new Disputed Waters system. This update also includes a newly designed Large-ship class, and players can engage in battles against Megaforts, requiring a larger crew for the challenge.

In the third season of Year 2, titled “Guts and Glory”, players can expect a fresh reputation system enabling them to form alliances. Moreover, a new officer system is introduced, and land-based battles become an option for those who wish to engage enemies without relying on ship weaponry.

In simple terms, Year 2 is set to conclude with Season 4, titled “Eye of the Beast”. This final season of the year promises exciting additions such as the Territorial Control mode, a new Large vessel, and the Kraken.

For now, the game “Skull and Bones” is hosting an exclusive time-bound activity called The Honorless, which ends on June 10. During this event, players can battle against the main character, the Honorless, to receive various rewards. These rewards can be collected from a special vendor designated for the event. Some of the items up for grabs in this event include the powerful epic Bombard (called Divine Wind), the epic Demi-Cannon (known as Kleine Kartouwe), and the furniture piece Fuse-Fusing Station.

Skull and Bones is available for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
