As a cinephile with a penchant for nostalgia and a soft spot for British humor, I am absolutely thrilled by Sky’s festive lineup! The return of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, the magic of Paul McCartney and Wings, and the comedy of Paul Chowdhry are absolute treats that I have been eagerly waiting for.
Sky has revealed their lineup of Christmas specials and fresh series, all set for the upcoming holiday season. There’s lots of television content to keep you entertained!
A fresh holiday movie is making its debut on Sky’s collection – “Bad Tidings,” featuring Lee Mack and Chris McCausland. This film premieres on Sky Max and NOW at exactly 8:30 PM on the 22nd of December.
A fresh drama titled “Lockerbie: A Search for Truth,” featuring Colin Firth and Catherine McCormack, is set to premiere on Sky Atlantic and NOW on Thursday 2nd January at 9pm. This gripping tale follows Jim Swire’s journey as he bravely takes risks in the aftermath of the Lockerbie incident.
The popular show “Never Mind the Buzzcocks” is making a comeback for a festive special, set to air at 9pm on Wednesday, 18th December, exclusively on Sky Max and NOW. Notably, Daisy May Cooper will be rejoining the panel after her brief hiatus during the last season.
The magician once known as Dynamo, now Steven Frayne, is coming back to our television screens with an astonishing new show that takes him back to his roots, leaving people amazed beyond belief by performing magic in the streets. Tune in on Sky Max and NOW on 19th December.
On Sky Arts, viewers have the chance to travel back in time to 1974 and experience the enchantment of Paul McCartney and Wings: One Hand Clapping. This film will be broadcast on Boxing Day at 9pm on Sky Arts and NOW, providing a personal glimpse into the 1974 Abbey Road recording sessions.
If you’re seeking a good laugh, I highly recommend checking out the latest comedy special from stand-up comedian Paul Chowdhry, titled “Family Friendly Comedian.” This side-splitting show premieres on Sky Comedy and NOW on the 20th of December. Don’t miss it!
And of course, Christmas wouldn’t be quite like it without some festive classics. This festive season, The Polar Express, The Holiday, Elf, Love Actually, It’s a Wonderful Life and Arthur Christmas, plus plenty more, drop on Sky Cinema and NOW.
