Skyblivion modders fly out to Bethesda HQ to meet Todd Howard, mere weeks after getting free Oblivion Remastered keys and assurances that Bethesda has “no intention” of shutting their 13-year project

Nearly four weeks have elapsed since Bethesda Game Studios unveiled the eagerly anticipated remake of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, which has raised questions about ongoing fan-made projects such as Skyblivion and Skywind.

The objections were swiftly dismissed by both developers and mod creators of The Elder Scrolls Renewal Project. They stated that “both projects can coexist” and that “players are the ultimate beneficiaries” upon the release of Oblivion Remastered. Rebelzize, the brainchild behind Skyblivion, further clarified that the official remake will not affect the fan-created Oblivion reimagining in Skyrim’s engine. They have already planned for “bug fixes” and the inclusion of DLC as well.

Subsequently, an open and genuine bond between Bethesda and the creators of The Elder Scrolls Renewal Project emerged. Following Bethesda providing each Skyblivion developer with a key for their new RPG, it seems the studio extended an invitation to these imaginative fans to visit its premises, offering them a firsthand glimpse into the source of the enchantment. A recent post by Rebelzize on the internet discloses this, displaying images of both development teams together.

Rebelzize expresses heartfelt gratitude to Bethesda Game Studios for allowing them a tour of their offices. Witnessing the enthusiasm of the Bethesda team towards Skyblivion leaves him speechless. A big ‘thank you’!”

Or:

“Rebelzize thanks Bethesda Game Studios for giving us a peek behind the scenes, and their passion for Skyblivion was palpable! Much appreciation.

The pictures accompanying his post depict him posing alongside Todd Howard from Bethesda and other Skyblivion developers, creating a truly touching collection of photographs.
