After a long wait, DOOM: The Dark Ages has arrived! Fans, old and new, of id Software’s popular first-person shooter series can now immerse themselves in the pulse-pounding prequel to DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal. With glowing reviews and high Metacritic scores, it seems that this Hell-themed adventure set in a medieval era is off to an incredibly successful start. Many more gamers are excited to join in the fun, tearing and ripping their way through until they’ve had enough!
If you don’t own an Xbox Series X|S, PS5, or a handheld gaming device, you might need to use a Windows PC that can run the game’s specifications. You could either purchase or construct one, or enhance your current system if preferred. But for a short period, there is also an opportunity to enter several giveaways where you could potentially win top-tier gaming hardware. This equipment not only surpasses the game’s requirements but also includes amazing DOOM: The Dark Ages skins, designs, and RGB profiles with cool themes!
This week, information about special deals was shared earlier in a blog post by NVIDIA. In this post, they not only announced the upcoming features like DLSS 4 and NVIDIA Reflex, but also showcased that these features work well with The Dark Ages (we tried out DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation and were quite impressed). Towards the end of the post, NVIDIA highlighted various custom gaming PCs, laptops, and GPUs they developed in collaboration with partners such as Falcon Northwest, MAINGEAR, MSI, and others – all of these products are either built using or belong to NVIDIA’s latest RTX 50-series lineup of graphics cards.
There are a total of six distinct systems and accessories available: Four desktop computers, one gaming notebook, and one graphics card. You can find the links for their respective promotions or giveaways down below, while the gallery of images above offers a swift preview of each item.
Regardless of slight hardware differences among PC systems – some featuring AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU or Intel’s latest Ultra 7 or 9-class processors, coupled with either 16GB or 32GB of DDR5 memory and storage ranging from 1TB to 2TB SSD – they all boast NVIDIA’s powerful RTX 5080 GPU that debuted this year. The DOOM-themed Colorful graphics card, which is also an RTX 5080, would be a significant upgrade for any gaming setup currently equipped with an older generation GPU.
The majority of promotions accept entries until the last days of May, with winners being chosen in early June. A few competitions will also start accepting entries during the first half of next month. Most entries are free, requiring tasks such as submitting your email or following specific social media profiles. To be eligible for the Colorful GPU and the Cybertek PC, you need to follow regional NVIDIA GeForce social channels and buy an eligible ASUS product.
For where you can participate, it’s worth mentioning that contests for Falcon Northwest, MAINGEAR, and ORIGIN PC systems are open solely in the United States, whereas the Cybertek PC giveaway is exclusive to France. Additionally, the Colorful RTX 5080 GPU is only available for participation in Asia and the Pacific region. The MSI Vector 16 laptop, however, can be entered from anywhere around the globe.
The collection of restricted DOOM: The Dark Ages gaming rigs and accessories are visually stunning, with the Cybertek model being my personal favorite. However, it’s unfortunate that this model is only available in France, and it demands a specific purchase of eligible ASUS hardware as a prerequisite. Despite this, I will participate in the U.S.-based giveaways for the remaining PCs, along with the global contest for the MSI Vector 16, since my 2020 Razer Blade 15 is starting to feel outdated now.
The likelihood of succeeding in any of these attempts is quite slim, but who knows? It might be worth a shot! And even if you don’t win, you can still obtain a Verdant skin for the Doom Slayer within the NVIDIA app by following these guidelines in DOOM: The Dark Ages.
