It appears that the character Roddy Ho, despite not being particularly popular, has sparked strong opinions among Slow Horses fans. This is evidenced by the actor’s statement.
He continued, “Certain strong phrases have been directed at me, yet I believe this is a true reflection of his impact.
“But in a way that people want to watch him, which is what I’d always hoped.”
In the series since its first season, Chung’s character Roddy has solidified his role as the resident tech whiz on the Slough House team. Despite being incredibly skilled in his field, Roddy is known for his unyielding demeanor and unique knack for playfully needling his coworkers.
Confidently established already, Chung further hinted that Roddy will elevate his confidence even more in season 5.
“[I] might throw a few dance moves here and there.”
It has been recently confirmed that the upcoming fifth season will draw inspiration from Mick Herron’s fifth book in the Slough House series, titled “London Rules.” At this point, we don’t have a specific release date for season 5, but what we do know is that it promises to be filled with plenty of captivating drama.
In season 5 of ‘Slow Horses‘, there’s a stir when tech-whiz Roddy Ho gets a glamorous new partner, but as strange occurrences start happening throughout the city, it’s up to our Slow Horses team to figure out the connections between these events.
“After all, Jackson Lamb knows that in the world of espionage, ‘London Rules’ should always apply.”
It’s also worth mentioning that Chung is poised for a more prominent position in season 5. Earlier, the Slow Horses actor shared with GamesRadar+: “Each character gets their turn in the limelight, which is fantastic, but I had read six or seven books when I was cast, and since London Rules heavily features Roddy, I was eager for us to reach season 5. So, hearing that it was given the go-ahead was truly exhilarating news.
“And the way Will [Smith] has written it, it’s just everything that I hoped for and more.”
