The pilot’s success among viewers prompted the network to greenlight it for a full series shortly after its debut. However, as the masterminds behind the show contemplate their future plans, it appears they aim to avoid a prolonged run similar to some other Adult Swim hits like “Rick and Morty,” which was recently renewed up until Season 12.
When Does Smiling Friends Season 3 Come Out?
The third season of “Smiling Friends” is set to debut on Adult Swim this Fall, although a specific launch date hasn’t been finalized as of now. Co-creator Michael Cusack shared some encouraging insights about the progress of the new episodes earlier in the year with ComicBook, stating that they have a better grasp of the characters after two seasons and production is going smoothly. However, he cautioned against revealing spoilers, assuring us that he’s a professional.
Moving forward with the upcoming season, Cusack noted optimistically, “However, yes. It’s doing great. It’s progressing exceptionally well.
