As a seasoned gamer with years of tactical shooting experiences under my belt, I must say, the announcement of Sniper Elite: Resistance has sent a thrill down my virtual spine! After countless hours spent lurking behind cover and taking out Nazi scum from afar in the previous installments, it’s exciting to see the series taking a new turn.
As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled to share that the next chapter in my favorite third-person stealth shooter series, Sniper Elite, has been announced. Interestingly, it appears Rebellion is opting for a break from numbered entries this time around. In the Gamescom Opening Night Live pre-show, they revealed the intriguing Sniper Elite: Resistance.
In “Sniper Elite: Resistance”, the storyline intertwines with that of “Sniper Elite 5”. Instead of our customary series hero Karl Fairburne, this time around we have Harry Hawker from the Special Operations Executive (SOE) taking center stage. As the plot unfolds, he stumbles upon a secret and formidable Nazi weapon, known as the Wunderwaffe, which has the potential to tip the scales of war in their favor. Consequently, it’s up to Hawker to thwart their plans and ensure victory is not theirs.
The upcoming game offers a fresh, independent storyline, a reintroduction of the Invasion mode, multiplayer functionality, and additional content. You can watch the announcement trailer here.
2025 sees the arrival of Sniper Elite: Resistance on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (accessible through Steam, Epic Games Store, and Windows Store). On its debut day, this game will also be accessible via Game Pass.
