Soccer Star Carli Lloyd Gives Birth, Welcomes Baby With Brian Hollins

As I delve into these heartwarming tales of new beginnings and expanding families, I can’t help but feel a sense of profound admiration for these remarkable individuals. Each story is a testament to their love, resilience, and the beautiful chaos that comes with creating a family.

Carli Lloyd and Brian Hollins have a new addition to their team.

It turns out that the ex-soccer star and professional golfer have become parents for the first time, having welcomed a daughter named Harper Anne Hollins on October 18th.

Carli expressed her heartfelt gratitude on Instagram on October 21, alongside a picture of their baby. She called it an incredible blessing in their lives. Despite being the toughest challenge she’s faced thus far, Carli considers it the best thing she’s ever done. She is deeply thankful for the fantastic team that stood by them and helped Harper safely arrive in this world.

She went on saying, “We simply can’t have enough of this tiny peanut! We adore you immensely and strive to equip you with the essential skills for becoming a wonderful person in life.

In 2016, I was fortunate enough to say “I do,” and since then, my partner and I have embarked on an open and honest journey with infertility. We’ve gone through three rounds of in vitro fertilization together, a process that has been both challenging and rewarding. When we announced our pregnancy in May, it was essential for us to share this part of our story as well.

Carli expressed on Instagram that the path we’ve taken has been like a thrilling rollercoaster ride, leading us to where we are now. We’re incredibly thrilled to embark on parenthood! I couldn’t have navigated this journey without my exceptional partner, Brian. He was the driving force that kept me going throughout.

She went on to say, “At the moment, my life story is joyful, but I’m aware that many other women are encountering difficulties during their pregnancy journey. I empathize with you, feeling your struggles. It’s my wish that more and more women will share their experiences about this matter, as their stories have been a source of strength for me.

The athlete who hung up her soccer cleats in 2021, earlier disclosed the reasons behind her choice to go through numerous cycles of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

In the scorching heat of 2022’s summer, Brian and I felt ready to embark on a new journey – trying for a pregnancy to see where it might take us, she shared in her piece for Women’s Health earlier this year. My entire existence has been about overcoming obstacles and showing the world I could do it. Soccer molded me into someone who knows the value of hard work, determination, resilience, and never quitting. I was always ready to put in the effort, and more often than not, my preparation led to success.

She went on to say, “I underestimated the challenges of conceiving, and as a result, I found myself facing difficulties each month. The carefree ‘let things take their course’ attitude transformed into a source of disappointment.

Eventually, she and Brian opted to see a fertility specialist.

In her own words, she shared, “As a woman, I desired to conceive naturally as it’s what our bodies are designed for. However, I felt disappointed when it didn’t happen naturally. Yet, I was prepared to move forward and explore other options.

Initially, she experienced a sense of shame regarding their choice, yet eventually, the duo managed to become parents. Despite feeling humiliated about her fertility challenges earlier, the sportsman is now more committed than before to highlighting such concerns.

She transitioned from being too hesitant to reveal that she was undergoing IVF, feeling embarrassed, ashamed, and fearful, to a desire to openly share her experience to aid others. In moments of hardship, one discovers their resilience. One evolves. One gains wisdom. And above all, one cultivates a deeper gratitude for the blessings in life.

However, it’s not just Carli and Brian; other couples have also welcomed a new family member. Continue reading to discover all the pairs expanding their families.
