Despite not taking home an award at the 2025 Golden Globes, Sofia Vergara has her sights set on a larger victory instead.
Inquired about her goals for the upcoming year, the actress, who was nominated for her role in Netflix’s series “Griselda,” shared with Access Hollywood during the January 5 event, “I’m aiming for good health, financial stability, and perhaps a romantic partner, or maybe something more serious.
Could there be a person skilled enough to mend a shattered heart? In July 2023, one of the judges on America’s Got Talent declared her separation from Joe Manganiello, following seven years of matrimony.
In an interview with Spanish newspaper El País in 2024, three months before their divorce was finalized, she stated that her marriage ended because her husband was younger. She explained that he desired children, and she didn’t wish to become an older mother. She felt it wasn’t fair to the child, though she respects those who choose it. However, that lifestyle no longer aligns with her preferences.
After her divorce, Sofia has dipped her toes into the world of dating, igniting speculations about her romantic involvement with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman towards the end of 2023, following a knee operation.
In an Instagram post from April 2024, she expressed, “If you ever need significant knee surgery, ensure your surgeon is not only skilled but also kind enough to stay by your side that night!” She included a photo of him supporting her bandaged leg, accompanied with the caption, “I love you, Dr. @jdsaliman.
A few months down the line, the actor from “Chasing Papi” posted pictures of them on a delightful Italian getaway on his Instagram in June 2024, accompanied by a straightforward red heart emoji as the caption.
During a chat with Us Weekly in October 2024, Sofía, without directly addressing it, provided some insight into her love life by expressing thoughts on dating locations, hinting that perhaps her romantic situation had changed.
“Totally,” she said. “Actually, I was talking about it because now I’m single. Kind of single.”
