As a gamer who’s spent countless hours immersed in the world of animated sitcoms, I can confidently say that the return of Solar Opposites with their Halloween special is a cause for celebration! With Dan Stevens stepping into the role of Korvo and the series finding its footing after some changes behind the scenes, it’s been an exciting journey.
As a die-hard fan of “Solar Opposites,” I can’t contain my excitement as we gear up for a chilling Halloween special arriving later this October on Hulu! After binge-watching Season 5 of this hilarious animated series earlier this summer, I’ve been eagerly waiting to see what new adventures await our favorite alien family.
Halloween Special 2″. The special will become available on Hulu starting October 7th. You can watch the trailer for the new special in the video above and find the poster for the special below.
What Happened in Solar Opposites Season 5?
In simple terms, Solar Opposites Season 5 continued with its characteristic zany storylines, delighting viewers who had followed the show from the first four seasons. Unlike Seasons 3 and 4, which revolved around a more continuous narrative affecting the characters, Season 5 took a different approach. Instead of leaving the Opposites in an unpredictable future as portrayed in earlier seasons, this season offered a new perspective on their lives, such as revealing that Yumyulack was consumed by the Pupa.
In this latest twist, Yum discovered that his previous roles as a bounty hunter were actually deceitful, leading him to understand that his body had been cloned and sacrificed in the past to sustain the Pupa. This revelation forced the Opposites to rethink their strategy before they reached their end. Essentially, this newfound knowledge provided them with a fresh start for further bizarre escapades as the series unfolds, introducing a new special episode and more exciting content.
What’s Next for Solar Opposites?
Before its fifth season debuted this past Summer, it was announced that “Solar Opposites” will also be coming back for a sixth season in the not-too-distant future. In addition to a Halloween special airing next month, production on the following season of the show has already begun. Executive producer Josh Bycel expressed his excitement about the Season 6 renewal to ComicBook, saying, “It’s really something special. To have worked on countless other shows and reach Season 6, seeing these characters evolve and witnessing the changes in their storylines over the past six years has been fantastic. If anyone is listening, I think we could do another six seasons.
Mike McMahan, both executive producer and co-creator, hinted at an even more peculiar Season 6 by saying, “We found Season 5 to be strange, but wait till you see Season 6!” Regarding potential holiday specials for the show in the future, Thomas Middleditch, who voices Terry, offered a quirky idea: “Perhaps we could create a special centered around Canadian Remembrance Day, focusing on making a big fuss about neglecting the veterans of other countries. It would be uniquely Canadian.
