As I delve into the lives of these dynamic real estate agents at Presidio, it is evident that each one carries a unique blend of personal and professional experiences that shape their journeys.
“If you mix The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City and Million Dollar Listing, you would end up with a show called Salt Lake City Luxury Living or simply Sold on SLC.
Exclusively from TopMob News: We present the trailer for the upcoming Bravo real estate reality show set in Utah, showcasing the elite brokerage agents selling stunning properties, not forgetting to mention their famous clients such as Lisa Barlow.
In the recently unveiled preview on October 29th, the leader of SLC, identified as Jennifer Yeo, proudly proclaims her role as CEO of Presidio Real Estate. She recalls humble beginnings where she couldn’t even afford a printer when she first started the brokerage. However, her hard work and dedication paid off as they achieved $1.2 billion in sales last year. She attributes this success to having the best team in the business.
Enter Jennifer’s team: Tyna Edwards, Malaysia Fua, Matt Jones, Sarah Martindale and Kenny Sperry.
Regarding the majority of her team who are women, Jennifer observes, “I’d estimate that only about 1% of women in Utah establish and thrive as brokerages.
Clearly, she’s serious about this matter. Tyna mirrors her leader’s tone, saying, “Given our role as women in this predominantly male field, we need to show courage and resilience.
Given that a significant number of their customers are members of the Mormon faith, the properties they offer should align with their clients’ religious lifestyle preferences. The sneak peek showcases opulent homes equipped with numerous laundry rooms to accommodate larger families, as well as guest houses designed for accommodating extended family members.
RHOSLC‘s Lisa even makes several cameos and declares at one point, “God is in this brokerage.”
Switch to a scene where Lisa jokingly refers to the Mormon sex scandal that came close to disrupting #MomTok, all while playfully using a swing designed for recreational purposes.
However, regarding Jennifer’s workplace, she strictly enforces certain unyielding guidelines aimed at minimizing the potential for drama among her financially ambitious staff members.
She points out that while people in Utah may adhere to the 10 Commandments, at my brokerage we abide by what I call the Jen Commandments: Always be closing deals, always maintain professionalism, never poach my agents, never allow emotions to jeopardize a deal, and never speak disrespectfully of another agent.
But not every employee is following those rules. After Jennifer accuses Sarah of “shady business,” Sarah admits in a confessional, “I’m pretty much sleeping with the enemy. Sorry, Jen.”
The trailer ends with several costars revealing a secret about Matt, who furiously storms off yelling, “My mic’s off. I’m f–king out of here!”
See all the drama to come in the video above, and keep reading to meet the cast.
The show “Sold on SLC” debuts on Wednesday, December 4th at 9 pm, right after the latest episode of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.” You can catch up on the episodes the very next day by streaming them on Peacock.
In her role as founding broker at Presidio Real Estate and rival top-tier agent, Jennifer Yeo has relentlessly pursued the prosperity of her company since its establishment in 2011. Guided by her “strive for excellence” philosophy, she prioritizes loyalty and unyielding determination within her team. While her husband Darin maintains her balance at home, Jennifer often finds herself navigating the interpersonal issues among her agents at the brokerage.
Kenny Sperry prioritizes his family, LDS faith, and career achievements above everything else. At Presidio, he frequently achieves top-tier results for the brokerage and is eager to expand his portfolio by managing more high-end listings. As a father of three and husband to Jessica, Kenny attributes his religious beliefs with helping him overcome challenges in his younger years.
Boldly authentic and undaunted, Tyna Edwards takes great pride in her ability to sell properties ranging from starter homes to luxury real estate. Lately, Tyna has left the Mormon church and openly declared her identity. With her two daughters, she bought her dream home and asked her partner, BJ, to relocate from California to be part of their contemporary family. Tyna boasts a few confidants among her coworkers at Presidio, but when a fellow agent spreads a harmful rumor that could jeopardize her business and reputation within the Mormon community, she doesn’t hesitate to call them out.
Following a move to a rival company the previous year, Malaysia Fua discovered that the grass isn’t always greener, and she took a risk by asking to come back to Presidio. As a dedicated Mormon 2.0 mother of four and wife of ex-NFL player Alani Fua, Malaysia strives to maintain harmony between her thriving profession, hectic family life, and vibrant social scene. Upon her return, she found herself on uncertain footing but is eager to rebuild Jen’s trust and rejoin the team of agents by injecting excitement and energy into the brokerage.
Born and raised in Brazil, Sarah Martindale exudes warmth and vivacity as she makes Salt Lake City sizzle. In her personal life, she’s a loving mother of two and a devoted wife to Chris, who heads the largest competitor brokerage to Presidio. When Sarah’s loyalty is challenged at work, her pent-up frustrations reach their boiling point with Chris standing by her side.
As a dedicated follower, I am committed to elevate my real estate journey at Presidio under Jen’s tutelage and guidance. Being a father of four, married to Nicole, and an active member of our LDS church, I strive for excellence amidst the competitive landscape. However, office politics sometimes entangle me, creating friction with another agent.
