This past year has been exceptionally impressive for the manhwa series, Solo Leveling, particularly with the debut of a successful sequel and a second season that surpassed the first in popularity. Although no announcement has been made about a third season, the franchise looks promising for the future, given its widespread acclaim from both fans and critics. To top it all off, Solo Leveling garnered several significant awards at Crunchyroll’s 2025 Anime Awards.
In keeping with their word, Crunchyroll declared the victors of the 2025 Anime Awards on May 25th, 2025. Impressively, “Solo Leveling” was crowned as the Anime of the Year, and also swept numerous other awards. This year was significant because it was “Solo Leveling’s” debut at this esteemed award show. The series undeniably made an impact, earning nominations in a staggering 13 categories. Among these, “Solo Leveling” garnered nine awards overall, with the top honor being one of them.
Solo Leveling Solos the 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards
Due to the phenomenal response and success of the series “Solo Leveling” since its initial season release, it’s no wonder that the show received numerous award nominations. The high-quality production of “Solo Leveling” has significantly elevated expectations for manhwa anime adaptations in the future. Although it is challenging to accurately measure its success, it is undeniable that “Solo Leveling” deserved its awards. In total, the series won nine awards at the Anime Awards 2025.

- Best Anime Voice Artist Performance – Castilian Spanish (Masumi Mutsuda as Sung Jinwoo)
In addition to winning Best Webtoon, Solo Leveling was also nominated for four other awards, but it lost in these categories: Best Animation, which went to Demon Slayer, Best Voice Performance in Hindi (for Lohit Sharma as Satoru Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen) for the anime voice artist category, Best Anime Opening and Best Anime Song, both of which were awarded to Dandadan (with “Otonoke” by Creepy Nuts). Although it didn’t win this year, next year with Season 2, Solo Leveling is expected to continue its strong performance at the Anime Awards.
