In the realm of transforming written narratives into visual form, alterations from original content are not uncommon in anime productions. For instance, a popular contemporary anime like Solo Leveling has occasionally modified certain aspects from its predecessors. However, a significant number of adjustments made in the most recent key episode have sparked discussions among viewers, with concerns that one particular character was perhaps unfairly treated, and shifts in the battle for Jeju Island were not entirely beneficial. As the second season finale draws near, fans eagerly anticipate Jinwoo’s gripping saga, holding their breath in suspense.
In the 23rd episode of “Solo Leveling,” titled “Things Are About to Get Even More Exciting,” some of South Korea’s most powerful hunters traveled to the location initially introduced in the series premiER, now overrun with ants. A diligent viewer noticed that the Hunter Cha Hae-In appeared weaker in the recent episode, as compared to the original Manhwa. In the original storyline, Cha was capable of killing the ant queen without any aid. However, in this version, neither the queen nor Cha were restrained by her fellow hunters, and Cha didn’t have Byung-Gyu’s boost at that time. Additionally, unlike in the Manhwa, Cha wasn’t shown to be tired following her single strike against the giant insect. Many fans believe other characters were also portrayed as being less powerful in the anime adaptation.

What Else Changed in Solo Leveling?
In addition to the anime alterations affecting Cha, it appears that the anime has subtly adjusted Choi Jong-In’s abilities as well. In the original comic, when the president hunter is employing his fire magic to repel ants, he mentions that he can push his strength even further but might inadvertently consume all the oxygen in the cave. It will be intriguing to observe if more adjustments are implemented during Solo Leveling‘s second season.
What Does The Future Hold For Solo Leveling?
As the second season of the anime nears its end, fans are speculating if there might be a third installment in store. There have been whispers on the internet suggesting that Jinwoo Sung’s tale could continue on our TV screens, although A-1 Pictures studio hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet. However, it seems likely that Jinwoo Sung’s entire story will be animated, and moreover, there are indications that additional parts of his story might also be adapted into the anime.
The popular series, “Solo Leveling,” is continuously publishing new chapters for its latest spin-off, “Solo Leveling: Ragnarok.” Although I won’t divulge any spoilers, the story centers around Jinwoo Sung’s son embarking on thrilling new journeys. Even though it may take years before we see the sequel animated, if “Solo Leveling” maintains its current popularity, A-1 Pictures will undoubtedly stay involved.
