Solo Leveling Introduces Jinwoo’s Funniest Ally Yet

In the premiere of Solo Leveling‘s second season, we delve deeper into Jinwoo’s Shadow Monarch powers, which were first hinted at in the season finale. The opening episodes have demonstrated the might of his shadow army, and even introduced a new comedic member to its ranks. The conflict within the Red Gate not only serves as an ideal platform for Jinwoo to exhibit his newly acquired abilities but also enriches his shadow army with fresh recruits.

In the second episode of Season 2 from the anime Solo Leveling, protagonist Jinwoo transforms Kim Chul, an A-rank hunter belonging to the White Tiger Guild, into one of his shadow soldiers, christening him “Iron.” Despite Kim Chul’s initial unimpressive showing in Episode 2 by deserting part of his team and even threatening to eliminate Jinwoo and the rest, as Iron, he seems poised to become one of Jinwoo’s most amusing sidekicks. With the recently aired episode offering a sneak peek into Iron’s peculiar character traits, fans are already looking forward to seeing more of his humorous antics.

Iron Finally Joins the Cast of Solo Leveling and We Already Love Him

As captivating as Igris might be, Jinwoo’s lesser-known comrade Iron seems to be one of the unsung heroes among his shadow soldiers, offering an enthralling twist in the gloomy landscape of our story in Solo Leveling so far. Although he may not possess the formidable power displayed by characters like Beru and Igris, Iron’s charming demeanor injects a delightful dash of humor that helps to balance the show’s dark, fast-paced narrative, making me eagerly anticipate more of his appearances as Season 2 unfolds.

In Season 2 Episode 2, it’s clear that Iron is just as faithful to Jinwoo as the rest of the Shadow Army. However, his berserker instincts can lead him to act excessively, like his antics with Baruka in the recent episode. Yet, his unwavering devotion to Jinwoo seems overzealous at times, particularly during the latter part of the series when Iron starts vying for position among the Elite Knight Shadows. What’s endearing about Iron is his camaraderie with other Shadow Soldiers, which are typically quite lively. Often, Iron would inspire lower-ranked soldiers to match his enthusiasm, much to Igris’ annoyance. These heartwarming moments are one of the series’ most underappreciated aspects.

In summary, although Iron can sometimes appear dim-witted, his inclusion in Jinwoo’s army has several benefits. Firstly, it strengthens Jinwoo’s defenses. Secondly, and perhaps more importantly, it gives personality to the otherwise undead soldiers, who exhibit unique characteristics of their own. This makes them feel more alive within the story, thereby enhancing the overall cast of Solo Leveling.

Excitedly, I can’t help but anticipate the arrival of Beru, with his charming love for historical dramas. But until then, the captivating Iron from the anime might win our hearts over! The storyline has been moving at a swift pace thus far, and I eagerly hope that Season 2 will delve deeper into Jinwoo’s band of eccentric shadow soldiers, including Iron, with even more original scenes.
