Solo Leveling Star Stokes Fan Hopes For Anime’s Future

In the Winter 2025 anime schedule, which started on January 4th, you’ll find the second season of “Solo Leveling,” or “Arise From the Shadow.” This season is packed with exciting anime series like “Sakamoto Days,” “The Apothecary Diaries Season 2,” and “Dr. Stone: Science Future.” The anticipation for “Solo Leveling” is high due to its widespread manhwa fame. The story revolves around Sung Jinwoo, a low-ranking Hunter in a world where mysterious gates suddenly appear, leading to treacherous dungeons filled with monsters and riches for the hunters to conquer.

Only individuals who have developed their hunting skills can gain access to the dungeons. Notably, Jinwoo is recognized as the weakest hunter among all humans. Regardless of his status, he persists in battling monsters to cover his mother’s medical expenses and his sister’s education fees. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when nearly perishing in a twin dungeon bestows upon him a system that facilitates leveling up. The second season follows Jinwoo’s journey as he continues unabated. As reported by Taito Ban, the voice actor for Jinwoo, the anime has significant plans for further development.

Solo Leveling Star Shares Hope For Anime Continuation

During my chat with Gamerbraves at Comic Fiesta 2024 in Malaysia, Taito Ban, the voice behind Sung Jinwoo, offered some fascinating insights about the show. He explained, “Though the first season was masterfully crafted… within the larger narrative of the series, it serves as a prelude or an introduction.

Instead of discussing the second season, let’s explore what awaits us as new characters enter the scene. With an enlarged cast, the storyline will venture well beyond the confines of the dungeon where our protagonist was previously advancing his levels.

The actor is further fueling excitement for the current season by saying that, with Igris posing a danger once more, the battles will be dazzling and spectacular to an even greater extent.

Ultimately, Taito Ban expresses his aspirations for the anime’s ongoing sequel: “Indeed, we wrapped up Seasons 1 and 2, but honestly, I genuinely hope that it doesn’t end there since so much of the story remains untold. So, perhaps Seasons 3, 4, 5, even a movie in development.

The graphic novel “Solo Leveling” consists of 22 distinct storylines, with the second season starting from the eighth, known as the Red Gate Arc. Additionally, a spin-off titled “Solo Leveling: Ragnork” focuses on Jinwoo’s son, Jiwoo. Consequently, despite the ongoing airing of the anime’s second season, the narrative still has plenty more to unfold. Given its recent popularity, it is expected that the production studio will avoid neglecting the forthcoming sequels.

On New Year’s Day, 2025, I was thrilled to find that the website had posted the interview, just days before the highly anticipated premiere of Solo Leveling Season 2! Mark your calendars for January 11th, 2025, as that’s when Episode 2 of this exciting season will be unveiled. If you haven’t already, head over to Crunchyroll to catch up on the first episode of Season 2, or if you’re new to the series, you can start from the very beginning and enjoy all the action on the same platform!
