2024 proved to be an extraordinarily fruitful year for Sega, and the company is still enjoying the financial rewards of their hard work. The release of “Sonic X Shadow Generations” was nothing short of sensational; it sold a million units on its debut day alone, and within a month, another 500,000 units were added to that total. Now, this game has surpassed yet another significant milestone.
Sega recently disclosed that Sonic X Shadow Generations has achieved a remarkable sales figure of 2 million copies since its release in October, indicating an increase of half a million units sold over the past two months. This suggests the enhanced platforming remaster is maintaining strong popularity. In December, Sega introduced a DLC pack for this title, including a fresh level and voice acting by Keanu Reeves as Shadow, which could have contributed to the surge in sales.
In our evaluation of the game, we gave it an 8 out of 10, stating, “Featuring an upgraded version of one of the series’ finest 3D experiences yet, along with a genuinely exceptional new tale featuring a beloved returning character, Sonic X Shadow Generations is definitely worth checking out for fans of Sega’s platforming series.” You can read the complete review by following this link.
You can find the game “Sonic X Shadow Generations” on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers (PC).
