As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I’ve seen more than my fair share of cinematic adaptations that fell short of expectations. The Sony Spider-Man Universe (SSU) has been no exception, with its spin-offs leaving much to be desired. From Venom’s bizarre origin story to the lackluster Morbius, it seems the SSU is more akin to a minefield than a cinematic universe.
It seems that Sony has decided to wrap up its Spider-Man spin-off movie series, a move that might be advantageous. Recently, we found out that Sony’s Spider-Man universe (SSU) refers to the widely criticized film and TV spin-offs like Venom, Morbius, and the disappointing Madame Web. The upcoming Kraven the Hunter appears to be heading towards even greater levels of mediocrity.
It appears Sony has decided to focus on projects they’ve already developed for now, rather than starting new ones. They’re putting their money on certainty, primarily focusing on Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man film with Marvel Studios and the upcoming sequel to Uncharted, starring Mark Wahlberg as Victor Sullivan.
