Sony, along with several of its in-house game development studios linked to PlayStation, have announced that they are contributing funds to aid in the ongoing fire relief efforts in Los Angeles.
They team up with various organizations and businesses offering monetary assistance to those rendering aid and reconstruction services in the region.
Yesterday, I learned that Sony, my beloved gaming company’s parent, pledged $5 million towards a cause. It feels great to know they’re making such a significant impact!
For over three decades, Los Angeles has been the base for our entertainment ventures, as stated by Sony’s Kenichiro Yoshida (chairman and CEO) and Hiroki Totoki (president and COO). Moving forward, we will collaborate with local business leaders to decide on the most effective ways that Sony can aid in the relief and recovery efforts in the near future.
Today, California-based studios such as Santa Monica Studio, Insomniac Games, and Naughty Dog have made commitments to stand by the community and aid local relief initiatives, aligning themselves with Sony’s effort in this regard.
Our thoughts and best wishes are with all those affected by the disaster.
